Argh blargh.

So, ACTs are coming up again and obviously juniors and some seniors will be taking it.

My step-dad gave us a practice ACT test(He's trying to really help the kids since er.. well their English is crap) and the test was from an actual ACT book and everything.

Anyways.. I thought I was going to score much lower than I did and he thought I would score higher.

As a freshman.. I got a 21. So leik.. by my junior year.. I should be able to score in the high 20's/low 30's.

I 'beat' everyone :x

--------------

FYI- I'm a very lazy student, so yeah.. surprised me I scored a 21. I do what I need to do to get at least a B in a class and then its whatever to me >__> On my first report card, here in FL, I got 3 A's and 2 B's. Heh.

Now.. my step-dad and my mother both know that I am lazy when it comes to school yet still want me to do dual enrollment next fall .____." Yeah, I could do it but I dun wanna. They're pressuring me into it! My step-dad drove me over to Starbucks after school and I was like, "Sweet~" but when I got in there... my mom was there and they started talking to me about stuff after buying me a treat and hot chocolate >__>

"Oh. If you do dual enrollment(Starting next fall), you can have a year of college done by the time you graduate high school. Those college credits transfer to almost any college in the country. If you graduate with a 3.5 GPA or higher.. you can go to any college in Florida for free. Full ride(4yrs). If you graduate top of your class or even 2nd, you go for free plus room and board!"

Yeah.. its all great but.. I don't want to do dual enrollment. Even if I don't.. its not like it'll be very hard to graduate with 3.5 or higher. >__> I'm 14. I'm a freshman.. I don't know what I want to do yet D: I don't know where I want to go to college. I don't know about anything!

I find it very hard to get through a day of school and I don't think doing dual enrollment and all that.. will help me. I have never liked school.. it really isn't the "normal" hate. I honestly know complete morons who like going to school because thats where they see friends. I, on the other hand(whether I had/have friends or not), just.. ugh. I can't stand it. I don't like being around the people or anything D: I can't even put my hate into words. Srsly.

Anyways.. yeahh.. thats it. /venting

D:!

Quick Q, what's dual enrollment?

A_Forever 02-04-2009 05:02 AM

I go to my high school in the morning for a few classes and then for the last part of the day, I catch a bus and go over to the community college for some classes.

Basically it.

Its more work though >.>

my guess is maybe it something what we have here called running start
some people can choose to take classes over at the nearby community college
you'd be in both high school and college at the same time (unless some people decided to do full time running start. They take all their classes at college and as long as they fulfill the high school graduation requirements they get their diploma)
I have a couple of friends who finished with their AA by the end of high school. one friend finished both his AA and AED

edit: is late :p typed too much

Ohh. Maybe you'll like college better than school? Probably similar but the people might be different.

A_Forever 02-04-2009 05:06 AM

^Lol. Doubt it xD

More responsibility is just </3

koager 02-04-2009 05:07 AM

do you have AP at your school?
you still can get college credits that way too
thats what I did instead of doing running start

A_Forever 02-04-2009 05:08 AM

I don't think we do. My school is too small.

Blaaaaaaaah 02-04-2009 05:10 AM

I swear you had put this in GG forums.

A_Forever 02-04-2009 05:10 AM
