LOL... I look so nerdy...
 

Okay, at my school library they now have Windows (they used to have Macs, but now they upgraded to XP Windows).

So, every lunch I grab some pizza and walk quickly over there to snag a computer. When I go there with my friend, we play Marvel vs Capcom on the computer using a ROM. I think the teachers are okay with it, as I've seen them actually looking at us. But some students, sometimes laugh at us... But whatever, nothing else to do at lunch, so me and my friends play Marvel vs Capcom 1.

I hate it when ALL my friends come to the library to play... Then the teachers get mad at us, because there are 20 people crowding around one computer. I don't want to let them play on another computer (since I have it on a flashdrive), because we use 2 computers for games, when someone can use it for homework. And if someone asks me if they can use the computer while I'm playing a game, I will always let you use the computer.

Reminds me of my school days. I'd spend a lot of lunches playing games in the computer "lab." By lab I mean one of the teachers that had a computer let me use it, usually in exchange for giving them copies of my games and/or showing them how to use it. Of course, I didn't have flashy games like Marvel v. Capcom. I had these:

High school was interesting. I helped set up the school network (Novell FTW) and had admin access. Good times.

No... Freakin' Captain Commando has super long range... CAn't really beat him, even with the super awesome secret characters...

And then you collected the powerups so you turned into Super ____ (whatever he was called) and then you could kill the evil meanies.

LOL. Oregon Trail. Fun game. I love hunting animals, never beat the game, because I was very young and I loved just shooting animals. I don't know what the second game is.

I always played Word Munchers.

The second game is a game called Number Munchers. You had to run around the screen and "eat" all of the blocks that correspond to the condition at the top of the screen, all the while avoiding the monsters that would occasionally appear and either eat blocks or change them.

There was also a Word Munchers game in the series. Ralath is talking about Super Munchers, which came out a bit later. You could power up and take it to the monsters, instead of only being able to avoid them in the original. I spent many an hour playing those. Fun and educational.
