Experimental Build
 

i've come up with a build im gonna try out. it's far from normal, but i figure it might be fun to see if it works or not.

so far i've got 22str, 26spr, and 3 dex in free stat (the dex is from more newbish times x.x). i've decided im going to continue adding to str for a few more levels, and then go full spr. let me explain my logic behind that.

if we get to a point where we're happy with our base damage output, why not pour the rest into crits? besides, spr is a multi-tasking stat. it gives critical %'s, sp, and magic defense.

anyway, i'll probably post more on this later, saying if it acctually works or not... go ahead and place your thoughts on this build, or suggestions towards other non-common builds here, if you'd like

Putting more than 25 SPR in free stats is not productive since you'll be wasting % afterwards. Its already been discussed in archer guides in the main forum. But then again, as you said, its a experimental build . So, good luck on that:laugh:

it doesnt waste it. it just gives 1/2 of the stuff it used to do.

With my cleric, I did 25 SPR, 50 END, and I dunno wat to do anymore since BOTH my stats diminishes its effectiveness... I didnt wanna go for a 3rd stat.. so i started chucking them into SPR too...

but since i've got much more points in END than SPR, your experimental built might yield more obvious results~

so do tell us if it works~

Alot of mages target archers in PVP. Well warriors do to, but thats besides the point. Anyways...

This build could yield good results in a magekiller build for PVP as SPR gives MDEF. Not to mention the critical bonus.

Sounds like it could work pretty good PVE too with the right equipment. Might need to shell out a bit of cash for the END gear but it will be worth it.

Be warned, i level about once every half a century, on a night with a blue moon when the rusty spoons are haunting the pie shops of Paris, France, and the zombies sing their lonely tune of heartache and woe, and salad fingers does the numa numa dance v.v

I'm an 86 archer on Epith.

I haven't been in touch with FF for a while now because of different... reasons. Up until earlier today I started getting on here again.

I've reset my archer 5 times, and I'm not gonna lie. These are the ones I tried. They'll be ranked in order of which is best, which is worst.

1) +30 Dex, Rest STR.
2) +25 Spr, Rest STR.
3) All STR.
4) 2:1, Str and End
5) +25 Spr, +25 End, Rest Str

As I continue to grow levels from here on. I'm going to be taking my str and dex and going with a 3:1 free point drop. If you got any questions, feel free to ask.

hm... has spirit helped you out much lately?
