Fallen Sword, I think you guys should never try this game.
 

I think my computer is infected with adware, so I keep getting pop-up ads everytime I use FireFox.

One of these ads I see is a game called Fallen Sword. If you have to advertise your game using pop-ups, you should not get that game.




Yeah, I don't know. Just some random stuff...

We really want you to try this game so we are going to infect your computer with adware that will tell you to play our game.

This will endear you to our game and you will just have to play.

In the end you will be happy and we will be happy and the circle will be correct.


OR

It'll upset you so you will go on gaming sites and tell everyone not to play this game.

The people running the game might not know how their adclicks are being generated or delivered. I've known a few people that got into sketchy web advertising without knowing exactly what they're getting into.

I can soooooo see that.

Ad People: We can get your game seen by millions of people
Game maker: Really that sounds great how do you do that.
Ad People: ohhh we do a mass ad basis that gets people to see your game
Game maker: Wow lets do it

Ad People: send out the ad ware visuses
Potential clients: I will never sign up for this bleeping game what jerks the Game makers are

Game maker: huh the Ad People said gamers would be flocking to us... I wonder why no one is viewing our site.

Game maker - Still confused with a smaller bank balance.

Yep. That's about how it went. I've done the whole "get traffic to a site" deal a few times and it can either be really expensive or really sketchy, heh. "Advertise with us! We generate a ton of pageviews!" "Yeah, but you split a 700 word article onto three different pages...". Web advertising and traffic is more of an artform than a science.
