Stone Prices
Do the stone prices and the number of stones you can get vary according to how much sp/hp you have, or the level you are?
I was thinking they'd vary according to the amount you have but I wasn't sure. |
I'm pretty sure it's the level, I remember everytime I leveled up.. the prices and the amount I could carry would go up.
|
But the thing is, your hp and sp amount also goes up when you level.
I'm asking this because I'm wondering if it's worth putting certain points into my characters. For example, there is no point in getting more SP from SPR points if the prices vary by the amount of you have, since I will have to pay more for my SP anyway. D: Yes, the Asian inside me is emerging out.. calculating every copper I spend..! :3 |
I been doing this for ages and eventually decided to not have stones... Pots seem to be able to carry my mage well enough i mean if i get hit i heal straight away retreat a bit and what not. I mean i have 5 of each stone for emergencies but that is all.
And to answer your question I think its just level that puts the price up. |
It's lvl.
And sp stones cost less than hp stones. -.- Which means that clerics gotta spend less again ! xD Quote:
like 2 secs till it does -.- in what i usually die. + stones = like 80% of your sp/hp whatever lvl you are. and pots will just stay their own thing, like for warriors the hp pots are so useless which i found out. like you heal 200hp wif lvl 1 pots. which is so low after on xD. + Another GOOD thing about stones you CAN use sp and hp same time ! xD while wif pots you can use just 1 ! + thought i reccomend being on full stones, and lots of pots. because sometimes like on bosses or so you may need both :) 2x faster healing :P |
You're correct that it's based on lvl, however the price is also based on class. I have a 30 warrior and a 21 mage and I seem to remember that for the warrior the hp stones cost more, while for the mage the sp stones cost more.
|
Lvl ^^ they currently cost 68c for me.
|
it's level based. i remember when i hit 20 on my archer i didn't use a single stat point.SP stones cost the same before the job change and after the job change when i used all 25 points on spr.
pots seem really useless. even if you save every mat and make hp and sp pots whenever possible, you still will be on too low a tier for them to be usefull. ^i'm doing the above method (mostly because if i vend i can sell the pots for more than the mats, however, i never use pots except for job change) and by the time i hit tier 2 for pots, i will have enough HP that the stones will still recover more. |
My Cleric goes through masses of tier 2 SP pots. I'm beginning to think it might be cheaper to go back to stones, which for me are about 43c each.
|
I would stick with stones. If they really restore 80% of your current HP/SP they are way cheaper than Pots.
Example for Apo, dunno how it's on Teva: Pots heal for 200-250, if you have 800 HP/SP you need 3-4 Pots. With stones you would need only 1 (or 2 but that would be a great waste of healing capacity) I sell my Pots for 35c each, 3-4 Pots = 105-140c. One stone cost around 40 for me. Difference 65-100c. So if you would sell the Pots you would use and use stones instead, you would even make quite a bit of profit of it (considering you would produce them yourself or only use those you find from drops) Tier2 Pots are sold for quite a bit more so the profit goes up too, even if the stones cost more per lvl. |
