Questions

I played fiesta a long time ago and have only recently returned I have forgotten most about the game and I'm interested in creating a fighter.

Many of the guides I have read are confusing so I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions I had or post something that may help me.

I want to be a pure STR fighter but I have heard its wise to have 25 or 20 Spirit points

I know SPR increase's the amount of criticals you get but is it important? and if so which is better 20 or 25 I was told at 20 you get 4% more critical and at 25 is 5%

What is a basic guide to 1~40+ Do I put the points If I need them into SPR first then STR? and I get extra points added every level so do I need +25 or +20 or just for it to equal 25 or 20 for example 10 (+15)

Also what do I put my points into with the skills and I sore something about potion, scroll making etc.. whats that all about

Sorry if there is a better section for all this to go under but I would like to start playing and leveling as soon as I can but I would hate to get to a certain lvl and then found out I have messed something up

With SPR, you get 0.2% crit each point you put in SPR, and after the first 25 points (i.e. from the 26th SPR point onward) the crit rate from each point is only 0.1%.

That's why it was recommended that (if you want to put in SPR) that you go up to 25.

There's been debates on whether Full STR fighter does more dmg than a 25 SPR / rest STR fighter. I guess in the end, that's up to you. I believe most say that overall a full STR fighter does more dmg.

IF you do decide to go SPR/rest STR, I'd do the 25 SPR first, then STR afterwards, as by level 20 you'll have all ur SPR sorted out and u can concentrate on STR (but I think in the end, it doesnt matter too much).

Skill Empower

Since you sound like you want to be a dmg dealer fighter, I'd recommend that you use an Axe (once u've reached level 20) and increase dmg in power hit.

After that, I pretty much saved up all my points for devestate for level 43.

Don't empower slice and dice (its tempting at early levels), it's not worth the points.

Hope that helps a bit!

I'd say to do 25, 30 str first then do the 25spr
doing 25spr at the beginning makes it painful
the str will help you level faster

I was talking to someone in Fiesta and they suggested 1H and a Shield if I'm going pure STR and to put all my skill points into slice and dice till I get deve

I like the idea of the 1H & Shield but putting all my points in slice and dice seems odd could anyone help?

slice'n'dice is a 1h skill
power hit is a 2h skill
so 1h people would put points into slice'n'dice and deva (tankers may also add points into mock and kick). but I think most people still dont empower slice'n'dice. if youre using 1h you can buy level ups for it but the points would still be better spent elsewhere.
2h people would put points into power hit and deva

using a 1h+shield will cut your attack power
it may be good for soloing but its mediocre for a party
people are given roles in a party. fighters either tank or DD. Using a 1h sword + shield but with DD stats would mean that you cant kill as fast as a pure DD and can't tank as well as a pure tanker.
the other nice thing about using a sheild is that if you add 50 into end you get +1% block rate. since youre are going for a DD build you would lose that

Hmm.. at max, I'll only put 5 points in dmg for slice and dice...

coz you'll want to save up enough for at least 10 point in devestate... (dmg and duration..)

did you go full STR so u can do massive dmg? Or just to balance out with fighter's natural tanking built?

Most high levels that I know who are full STR use Axe.

Nuuu... don't put point into Slice'n'Dice! Save it for Devastate and more powerful skills at level 60! Slice'n'Dice has a short enough cooltime for you to just spam it.

If you do use 1h+shield for your full STR build you will be a good solo'er and a decent tank. But remember that you will always be outdamaged by someone who is using an axe/2h sword. Recommended skill build:

5 points into cooldown for Mock
15-20 points into Devastate (Power, Duration, Cooldown is a must. SP is optional)
5 points into power for Accurate Strike (1h), Precise Strike (axe/2h); possible cooldown but I don't think it made much of a difference.

Which build would be doing more damage?

koager 12-11-2008 11:28 PM

pure str axe fighter
they are the only ones that can rival the attack power of mages
(I think mages still do more due to mobs having a lower mdef than def)

I was told 1H would be a good idea for pure STR because the attack speed makes up for the damage cut
