So then, some basic rules for pricing greens:
1.No spec on a green item will be greater than 50% of the items level. a) So, for instance, the highest spec on a level 50 item will never be more than 25 2.A green may have 1,2,3 and rarely 4 different specs a)The more different usable specs an item has, the higher the value 3.Some specs are desirable to all classes while others are not. a)All classes want endurance and strength (block and damage). b)Fighters want strength and spirit (fighters get high base endurance but low spirit) c)Battle clerics want strength and endurance (clerics get high base spirit but low endurance and damage) d)Healer clerics want endurance and dexterity (block and evade) e)Intelligence is highly prized by mages but has no value to other classes. Strength is of little value to mages. f)Archers want strength and dexterity (damage and aim) 4.A “Godly†green has no clear definition. a)“Godly†simply means an item with good specs. 5.Green weapons also have aim, damage, and critical rate to consider. a)A weapon with a high critical rate will generally have lower stats. Some players love a high critical rate and seek this in their choice of weapons. b)A critical rate of 6% - 8% can be considered high. 6.Aim and damage are quite variable a)These values should be compared to a white of the same class and level. 7.The level of the item is a major factor in pricing. a)At the lower levels players simply do not have the coin to afford high prices and level so quickly that they soon grow out of their equipment. b)At the higher levels players have more coin and more time to shop for the best equipment they can find. They can afford to be picky. c)High level players will often buy an item they know they will need soon to avoid a delay when they are ready to use it. In the interim, they will continue to shop for something better or a drop of their own. |

some things to consider...
actually, stat bonuses can go beyond the standard 50% of level requirement rule on lvl 15 and lower equipment as well as King Marlone and Zombie King weapons. otherwise, the statement above holds true. for the betterment of the selling/buying community use the term "Godly" when selling items with near max stats in multiple DESIRABLE categories. for instance a lvl 60 hammer with 30dex 30int and 30str would probably not be considered "Godly" since END/SPR are typically the most desired categories by clerics. pay attention to the market, see what prices other vendors are charging for similar statted equips. don't be afraid to ask for advice, ask your friends, ask your academy members, ask your guildies. there's a wealth of information and advice out there if you're willing to just seek it out. prices may vary a bit from server to server, but it's really hard to say. premium prices should be given to items with END stat bonuses near the max for that piece of equipment. Typically these are the categories I desire for each respective class: Fighters - END, SPR, STR, DEX Mages - END, DEX, SPR, INT Clerics - END, SPR, DEX, STR Archers - END, DEX, SPR, STR that's my take on it anyway. :) |
