Archer Skill Data

I recently edited the Archer page (I'm the unregistered IP address in case anyone has any problems with what I did).

I added the skill levels above level 60 to the majority of skills.

However! I have no extra skill points and could not fill out the enhancement data.

So I'm asking PLEASE will someone be willing to either give me the data, or edit the page yourself.

And -- I don't know who did the cool frames for the first two skills, but I do not know how to edit them.

If I give someone the data, could they edit it for me?

P.S. Archers are win, so help make their Wiki page win too!

To answer your query regarding the Archer Skill Table:

The first two skills categorized by a template, which allows any user to fill it in with the data, without the extraneous programming that would go into it. It also allows uniformity of the data, rather than haphazard individual schemes.

If you look at the first lines of the Aimed Shot template:

==Aimed Shot==
{{Skill
|Name=Aimed Shot
|Img=[[Image:Skill-Archer_Aimed_Shot.gif]]
|Desc=A steady attack with deadly aim.
|Equip=Weapon
|Target=Enemy

The two equal signs "==" denotes bold heading emphasis. These should always come with any heading.

To start the template, you use twin curly brackets {{. Type skill, and begin a new line. The vertical bar | begins a new command, and so on. The template is really not as complicated as it appears; on the contrary, it makes creating content for the wiki much easier. Otherwise, you would have to enter the following to create a similar table:

{| width="100%" border="1" cellpadding="4" style="text-align: center; font-size: 12px; border-collapse: collapse; border: 2px solid;"
|- style="text-align: center; font-weight: bold; background-color: #FDF5E6;"

Pretty complicated, no?

I have a problem with the Archer Skills page. I don't like it :zomg:

I've already said this; it's bloated, such that I can't see everything in one table without scrolling up and down for the values.

Data tables should be aligned such that there are just two corresponding attributes, one for the rows, another for the columns. Changing the column headers misaligns the base skill information with the additional attributes.

/rant

P.S. Someone send me their up-to-date ActiveSkills please.

Icy, let me know your thoughts on the Skills. Toss me a PM with all the ranting so I can use it to create something better, cause I'm not happy with it yet.

And if you have data to be put in you can send them to me also.

Sorry, but why is it so huge? I have an 18" monitor with 1920x1080 resolution, and even I can't see the whole table without scrolling.

EDIT: Yay, I'm premmy now!

the tables in mage skill section seems easier to read....

Icy 11-17-2008 09:16 AM

@ Hessah: I agree. My creation. :cutielove: (At least the menial labour)

@ Gandalfa82: You're picking up on a piece of explorative work left by someone a while ago... I have already commented on Archer Skills in its discussion page. The concise tables I refer to are the ones in Mage Skills - the presentation is pretty much as concise as it can get without really confuddling first-time readers. Not colourful or fancy; but, information density is crucial in data tables. If anyone frequents a certain Bright Kingdom fansite, they list skill upgrades like that, and I think it's a pretty good idea.

@ Belaslav: If 1080 is suffering, think about the 800-lines users like me

@ Triumph: can't believe you've ignored what was already there

I have eight essays due next week. Noob.

Though I will admit that Call of Duty: World at War is a phenomenal game. But Nacht der Untoten is rather hard.

Icy 11-18-2008 11:51 PM

By playing CoD you have greatly devalued the burden of 8 essays.

As long as it makes me happy.
