Halloween Quest Question

Hi, can someone explain to me whats the use of the pudding from the quest?

Zach in Roumen gives out a quest where you collect 5 puddings for a permanent black cat mask.

I think it works like this: you go to Myzen in Elderine & she gives you the quest to collect 50 lantern souls and she offers you a choice of reward - either a perm pumpkin head or a pudding. If you take the pudding then you need to do that 5 times then take the 5 puddings to Zach in Rouman for the perm cat head mask.

Me, I just went for the pumpkin, and have sold the rest of the lantern souls.
