Vista?!?

I have to play on a dail-up connection at home and it runs ok, lagging a little. But I went to a friends with a wireless connection and played Fiesta and it plays almost exactly the same as it does on dial-up. Some noticable things are on the character creation screen the screen goes all jagged and pices are missing. As I was watching my firend I noticed how great it actually looked, so smooth. Whereas mine, whether on dial-up or wireless looks terrible compared to his. Does Vista not run Fiesta properly or something? I got my laptop only about 2 months. Thanks in advance.

I have Vista and I have never noticed those issues.

Dial-up shouldn't change the way the client runs...it should only change the speed at which it runs...

You're running it on a laptop? That might be some of your problem. More graphics card power = hotter machine = bad for laptops.

I run on a Vista laptop on a wireless connection... no problem.

My laptop doesn't get... too... hot as far as I can tell.

if this is about laptop, maybe it is issue about graphic card, i have using laptop, and wireless connection, but no problem and never seen that issue too..

Could be corrupt filies, to fix you have to reinstall.

Could be that your comp is slowed by some malware and/or spyware, try running antivirus scans. Maybe a disk defragmentation...

Or could be just your dial-up...

I could cook toast on mine back in the day. Some like it hot, and AMD is one of them. Without looking at his specs, I can't say. Mostly speculation, like everyone else is doing. ::shrug::

my laptop runs off a NVIDIA GeForce 7000M graphics card. I'm not exactly sure how old my laptop is. Can you change graphics cards?? I don't think you can but not sure.
