Informal music poll
Which song combination do you find most inappropriate for children to be singing?
Entry 1: 80's US children's show KIDS Incorporated covering Olivia Newton-John song "Physical" or Entry 2: Kidsongs, a direct-to-video collection of popular songs set to videos and covered by kids. In this clip, they cover "Bend Me, Shape Me by the American Breed. Feel free to submit your own for consideration. That's why I'm not making this an official voting poll. |
I think.. the first one. It was funny how after they started singing "get physical, physical!" they flash kids doing skipping ropes and the like across the screen, lmao.
Plus, the girl in the first one looked really annoying hahaha. |
Yeah, it was an excercise-themed show. I loved this show as a kid, but I never really got the subtext of that song until I was meandering through YouTube and found some old clips.
Oh, in a little sidenote, see if you can spot "Fergie" (of Black Eyed Peas fame) in the KIDS Inc. clip. That's where she got her start, heh. |
The first one most defintely. In the second one, it is not as...... I don't know. But, in the first one, Let's get physical, I want to hear your body talk. <--- not many ways you can take that.
