Not so much an Auction...
Why are people on the official forum "auctioning" their equipments... but will not sell it unless someone offers their buyout price anyway
 |
What's a buyout price?
|
buyout... so... a typical thread would look like:
[Picture of things they're selling] S/O: 1g M/I: 100s B/O: 8g S/O - Starting Offer... where you start bidding.. M/I - Minimum increment... you must go up by this amount from last offer (so if first person offer 1g, next person have to offer at least 1.1g) B/O - Buyout... Instant win if you offer this price. So often the auction will go for like 2 weeks or w/e (rediculously long) and its often sold to some random person that bought their item from their vending shop in game... |
Yeah lol, I remember those long auction threads. I would just skip through them. Now, I just skip through the entire website.
|
Yeah the annoying ones are also the ones where the thread is like 3 pages long, selling several things and the OP doesnt update the current offer!
(not that it matters anyway) |
!!!!!!
This is why I'm actually excited for the in-game Auction House. |
Maybe......... kekeke but i cant be in game most of the time! XD
|
Personally, I think they need to either sell in a vend shop or aution, but not post an action and still set it in a vend shop. that just busys up an already cluttered forum.
But for the bidding they need to either add a fourth indicator for Reserve Price (R/P) . . . the amount they will NOT release it for less than or they just need to set the S/O at their preferred R/P. And I heard that there would be an auction option one day and when it is released they need to close any threads where people try to auction on their own terms and format. Just my 2cents |
So will the auction house be like an ingame E-Bay or a real auction house where you have to be on to get the item?
Ohh and if it is like the second one collusion will happen easily. Actually both ways it can happen. Seller puts up an item and has a "Ringer" in the audience. Ringer keeps up bidding the item till it reaches an overpriced state. Then some "Unlucky Bidder" steps in and pays too much for the item. If the Ringer ends up winning no loss for either side. |
