Why have such a difficult hard to play class?
 

My first charter on Fiesta was an Archer. I had fun for awhile untill I got stumped on how to use my status points. :( I took some advice from this fourm and the offical fourm on the Fiesta web site, but by the time I hit level 40 everything went down hill! Becuase I had no real position in any group, (I was grouping with my friends from school who had level 50+ as their main charter) and it was hard to get a group out side of my circle of friends (everyone chose mages over me) I quite the archer and am not investing my time on a cleric that i realy love and is awasome at everything! But my question is, is why make such a difficult REALY complex class that you cant realy get the hang of even if you get to an acceptable high level?

they have pretty good dps and they can take a hit or two. which mages cant.

its all about knowing how to use your archer, they are a niche class.

archer are harder than mage to play in solo. They can take 1 or 2 hit , but after 3 mob they need to recover.... Mage can kill mobs kitting. Archer dont (if u dont use speed scroll). They will take always 1 or 2 hit even with hit and run. Mobs are too fast. Archer's skill cant kill mob before they can come. If u don't crit of course.
Archer should have high evasion by his side, but dex bonus dont seem work properly.
Archers work great in party.

The problem is that Archer aren't fitting in the tanker-supporter-nuker pattern, everyone follows directly or indiretly. But Archers will be needed when it comes to fighting bosses and i bet they will become more popular when PvP comes out. But PvE wise they are weak, and hard to lvl.

Imho archer are nuker. I mean the ranged classi damage dealer one.
Simply evasion dooesnt work fine.
Evasion should be the defensive stat for archer.

well nuker comes from nuke. Nuke like in atomic bomb. So now try to get a picture... Doesn't fit to ranger, right?

Nuker is a classic role of a mage. Dealing high dmg with AoE Spells

p.s.: the first nukers i heard of, were d&d mages... and they deserved that name. Walking atomic bombs lol

Nuker is common used for class that make ranged good damage. That's what archer is.

If u like correct label archer is a ranged phisical damage dealer.

Well archer is like between mage and fighter...
decent with magic power and strength and can do far range + if u hv high evasion then the mobs wont hit u every time. i am a lvl 43 archer. i should know dat...archer is not strong or weak at anything. and u can get a party too but your aoe is not great as mages dats why people mostly pick them over u...and u jsut need to make friends with other people + u need to be a good archer
