Wow! I just got the rudest telemarketing call
 

My boss's mobile just rang, while she's on the office land line, so I answered it for her...

I got a phone ringing tone, then this conversation followed:

Him: Hi i'm _____ how are u?
Me: Good thanks
Him: The reason for my call is to see if you're happy with your mobile service
Me: The owner of the phone is busy at the moment, can you call back another time?
Him: What are they doing? :err: Who on earth ask that!
Me: They're on another call
Him: Can you get them off the phone, this is very important
Me: No.
Him: Why not?
Me: They're busy.
Him: Well it doesnt matter, it can be for your mobile service too, are you happy with your mobile service?
Me: Yes thank you.
Him: <Company name> Can offer you a better deal.
Me: No thank you.
Him: Why not?
Me: No thank you.
Him: Why not?
-hangs up-



the "What are they doing", "Get them off the phone" and "why not", i found extremely rude for a cold caller... geez man!

You hanged up or him?

he was still asking "Why not?"

so i hung up

We always mess around with telemarketers o: Like use celebrity soundboards and stuff. One time, the guy actually thought it was MJ >.>

I wouldnt call that rude Id call him annoying and persistant.

I've lost count of how many Indian Optus telemarketers have called us.

Now we have a little thing on our phone so we know the number calling us. If its Optus I immediately pick up the phone and hang it up without even saying hello

oh all telesales call are annoying.. i thought that's a given XD

but at least some lets u go when u say no thx... persistant ones that doesnt let u go are also annoying..

but.. no this guy is rude! His tone is rude.. like "why dont u just do wat i ask" kinda rude...

he's got normal aussie accent though... i actually thought he sounded like our guild master LOL!!

Haha I think I had one of those too... don't remember bad calls though. But usually if they call a second or the third time I do the pick up and hang up thing too. This also goes to that one person who keeps on calling despite the fact that I've said "wrong number" a million times. Like I'm not speaking the language you're speaking so obviously you're not calling the right person here.

Next time you should ask to speak to their supervisor, I'm sure they'll shut up and leave you alone.

yeah exactly! and i told him why already too "i'm happy with my service"

at first I thought he's a quality control call... (the phone company has called before to check that we're happy with their service)

so i thought this is another one..

the way he asked that question, he'll never sell anything.. coz 95% of the ppl will answer "yes happy with my service" and that instantly closed the door for him to get a new deal...
