Licenses

Licenses can be put on your weapon, and can then... do what?

I managed to get a "gold slim" license up to 100% by killing a lot of the gold slimes, and I then thought my weapon would do 15% more damage - it does not!?
And I have also added a baby-bat license to it, but I have killed at least 50 babybats and it still says 0% next to this license.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Well depending on the level of the license the more stages there are. Eventually it will start adding crit rate to your weapon.

Depends on what level you are too.

If the baby bats are too low level (gray is a good indicator), then no matter how many you kill, your percentage will not go up.

Thanks for fast replies.

The babyrats are white.

And should my weapon do more damage now I reached "first level" of the gold slime license?

Sero 08-14-2008 08:43 PM

Yes, only to Gold Slimes though.

Ahhh - only against the assigned monsters... The licenses suddenly became a lot less interesting I think!?
Does anyone actually use time to "grind" those licenses then?

Are some licenses actually worth spending your time upon?

I am a lvl 29 fighter.

After a while, licenses will start to give you +crit that applies to all monsters.

Here's a complete list of them:

another "ahhhh" :)

The +crit effect deals against all monsters - not bad!

Where can we see liscence progression ??

Blood Raven 08-15-2008 12:09 PM

When you add a license onto your weapon it should be below your damage and it will show your the name of the monster your killing (e.g) gold slime dominator: XX% (how close you are to moving onto the next weapon title) and the the damage (35%) stating you do 35% extra damage to the enemy. You only get a critical bonus on monsters once you complete a license (you fully upgraded it to the max and it does the most possible damage to that monster). However, at lower levels they don't really believe you deserve a critical bonus so until you start at level 30 and using license I don't think you will get a critical bonus but I may be wrong if anyone wants to correct me and prove it.

The site Ralath gave your really helps. So do read it.
