Romeo x Juliet

I think so far that this is a lot better than the book we had to read in English class and the art style is really good :D This is not actually based upon the book so don't think watching this will help you ace that English test you might have on this book xD

part 1

part 2

part 3

I watched around the first 4 or 5 episodes of it before, but really couldn't get myself to watch the watch the rest.

It wasn't that I hate it or anything, it just didn't get a strong hold of my interest in the earlier episodes after episode 1. After that, interest kind of died, and I was more excited about other series. I try to give series a chance and watch at least 3 to 5 episodes, and if I feel like it would be a chore to watch more, I just give it up. There were some series that I couldn't bring myself to watch the rest after episode one though.

Might give it another shot in the future, but not right now.

I've only seen episode 1 xD and if what you say is true then I might not be interested but I'll probably watch the whole series b/c I would feel bad if I didn't. So far it looks good though :D

Don't take what I say much to heart, everyone has different taste~ I've liked a few things some people consider crap and I've disliked things that some consider one of the best things they seen so far.

Anyways, I mostly heard good things about R x J. It just wasn't for me.

Lexaeus 08-14-2008 03:54 AM

Yeah it all does depend upon tastes but we are all entitled to our opinions. I'm not sure if I might like it but so far it is pretty good. I respect your opinion and will keep it in consideration. yeah like some people like Shaman King (me) and some people think it is crap. It all depends upon our tastes.

Seeing as you didn't like Shakespeare's text I don't think our tastes are close enough for me to enjoy this. At least that's what I'm guessing you meant by the "book" (its a play, by the way) you read in school. Eh, who knows. If I get bored later I might give 'er a go.

Lexaeus 08-14-2008 04:08 AM

Yeah it was a play but I have the play in a book and I've read it once xD I thought it was droll and boring but some people think it was fantastic. Same thing with A Tale of Two Cities boring and crap to me yet others loved it. Yeah I didn't like the play but we did a school play for it. This seems more fascinating to me.

Droll and boring? Its got sword fighting, death, suicide, and underage sex. What more could one want?

Lexaeus 08-14-2008 04:25 AM

Well I like the sword fighting but it was difficult for me to tell what happened unless I reread it again. Death is bleh. I don't really like that. Suicide according to Dante's Inferno is bad and you will suffer for it and only Romeo and Juliet did that which I guess would make it a major point of the story. Underage sex o.O Underage is bad. I probably thought it was boring because I couldn't understand half of it without sparknotes.......... Or maybe it's because I prefer the fantasy genre and some romance. Or maybe it's because I prefer books that I can read without relying on Sparknotes for a definition.
