Is there any way to configure my microphone jack (It's basically the same jack, but plugging it in the mic one pops up a menu for it.) so that it can be used as a headphone jack instead?

Hyper those things are configured completely different.

Unless you change the wiring, your mic jack is not gonna be headphone jack anytime soon.

Mic Jack goes to Audio In on your sound card...

Headphones jack goes to audio out...

How did you break it?

Plug in the headphones.

Drop laptop.

Headphone prong and jack both break.

Why? Why must you fail like this? Why? -.-
