Is stone production worth it anymore?

I think so. Not on your main though, I have potion and scroll on my main, and I just use stone and others on my mule. =p

Yes it is. I've got stone making on my char and that helped me get my first silver at early levels. Sure, back in the early CB days, I can sell them for like 150 each $.$ but even though I can only sell them for 50c each (max), you still make quite a bit of money if you had collected all the materials yourself (not buying them).
Old dusts sell for about 3c each (I think?) to NPCs, and imagine selling 1 elrue worth of materials. If you do that, you will only get 27c out of the NPC (3 lots of dusts each). But if you made an elrue, you can sell it for 50! o: THAT'S 23 COPPERS MORE! xDDD Well I think it helps when you start off. Not sure if it will be as beneficial later on, but later on you make tier 2 stones which will (or should) sell for more than tier 1 stones. Sooo we'll see about that. |
I'm not sure, but since it's so popular, I can tell you now selling the materials can make a lot too. Especially if you train on the honeyings or something, I got like 100+ total worth of mats, sold'em for 11c this one time, and it's worth a lot altogether, so yeah. If you don't want to, selling the materials is another good source of money. Also, selling red pots are too for me (since I'm a cleric).
