Disconnection Crisis
Operating System (OS): Windows XP Media Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2
Processor information: AMD Athlon 64 Processor RAM available: 896MB RAM Nature: Game disconnects randomly This has been happening ever since I started playing Fiesta. At random points in time, my game disconnects. This seems to be more often during the evening, but it happens a lot during the day too. It happens everyday. I updated my drivers two days ago and that helped, but just a little. I've also been cleaning my hard drive, but that doesn't help at all. I already have Directx9.0c I would like to solve this once and for all so that I don't disconnect when questing with my friends! Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |
What kind of network setup do you have (wireless, cabled)?
Also what kinda of Internet Service Provider do you have (cable, dsl, dialup, satellite, pigeon, etc...) ? Do you ever get disconnected from the Internet when *not* playing Fiesta? You updated your drivers for what? Everything? |
I have wireless broadband.
I used the link on the fiesta site to download updates for my driver. I'm not too computer-savvy with drivers so I don't know exactly what part of it got upgraded and no it doesnt disconnect whenever im not on fiesta |
i'm no expert (hopefully dynamics will weigh in on this), but it sounds like either a Fiesta Client issue, and Xtrap issue.
Have you tried removing and reinstalling the Fiesta client? Also, I've read that if you have a virus or some other malware on your PC that sometimes Xtrap might detect this and boot you thinking you are running a hacked client. Here is a link on the official forums about Xtrap Issues Good luck...please post a resolution if you find one :) |
I uninstalled and re-installed the client, but that didn't help.
I tried taking off all the firewalls on my computer, but that didn't help. The one thing I did notice is that when I clean using McAfee, it detects outspark as an unwanted program. But no matter how hard i tried I could not tell the McAfee program to allow outspark. I think this may be the reason it keeps disconnecting, but I have no idea how to solve it now. :cries: |
