I've just recently started using Hide Mode.


Quick Question:-

Who actually (if any) can see you while you're using it?

I know that your name still appears on the main-page but that your profile won't state where you're browsing. Same applies for Who's Online, your name just won't show. Also, if you're in a Private Forum, can the admin of that forum see you? :smarty:

Admins and Mods can see you even in hide mode - no matter where you go. You show up as a user when viewing posts/threads, but the regular users can not see which user you are.

I would assume that a mod/admin of a guild forum could see you. If you would like, talk to Loki and see if you can work it out with her to see if she can see you in the Heart forum. I can see you, but I am not sure if that is because I am a mod on the forums or because I am a mod in the private forum.

EDIT: also, if I am not mistaken, your name does not appear in the member list below to other members if you are in hide mode.

Yup, I kinda thought that admin and mods would be able to.


I'll have to see about guild admin.

Just did a test.

Guild moderators cannot see your invisibility status.

Naiz to know.


Thanks. Wanted to know hide mode's limits since I started using it.

Why do people use hide mode? To ward off stalkers?

Anyways, Wiki Admins can't see you either, haha.

I used to use ninja mode. Only stopped because I became a mod and I thought having an invisible mod wouldn't be really helpful.. LOL.
