Mage Empowerment Help.
 
Okay. Here is the deal. I am a pure INT mage, but I have absolutely no clue what skills to empower and what to empower in them.

Someone help out please.


So far I have:

5 points in cooldown for Magic Missle
4 points in cooldown for Fire Bolt



Someone please help, I don't have any points to empower right now. But when I get more points I need to know what to put them in or if I should just delete my mage and start over.


I solo mostly, but I party when able to (if that helps at all)

Empowerments
Magic Missile- cooldown(for spamming while other skills cool)
Firebolt- cooldown and/or SP decrease and/or Damage
Magic Burst- SP decrease/(and) cooldown(if you aoe a lot)
Magic Blast- SP decrease
Nova Frost- SP decrease
Inferno- SP decrease
Lightning Bolt(for Bright Kingdom)- Duration time(it stuns)




So I maxed cooldown for MM, and I'm almost done maxing cooldown for FB. What does it mean with the and/or and stuff??

And also, would I even have enough skill points to empower all of these? Priority is what I'm worried about, like which skills and empowerments I need to worry about first. Any help?

and/or will depend on your play style. So Firebolt for example, you are able to spam the skill... next you can choose to lower its SP cost and max damage or choose one or the other depending on how you play. Priority-wise, it's pretty much in order of when you get the skill. Don't worry, you'll have enough points because by the time you get to Inferno... you're level 65+ ^^

Btw, ignore the Lightning Bolt cause that only applies to another version.

Okay. So what you are saying I should do is MM max cooldown.

Then max cooldown on FB

Then max SP decrease on Burst

Then max SP decrease on Blast

Then max SP decrease on Nova

Then max SP decrease on Inferno

And then go back and fill up on the other parts of the skill such as damage and what not??? Cuz honestly...I'm kinda lost because of the and/or's. Which one is for which playing style?

I've never really gotten into playing a Mage so I'm hoping one of the higher level Mages can help out too. But let's see... if I was to play a Mage and go with the skill empowerments it'd go something like this:

1. Max Cooldown on MM
2. Max Damage, Cooldown on Firebot. Possibly some points into SP Consumption

Then when I get to Magic Burst, since you're full INT, you're more likely to be in a party so SP Decrease on the skill (so you can cast more before you have to use a stone/pot) and possibly some into cooldown. Look at the skill empowerment window and judge how much you'll need.

You'll get Magic Blast at level 49/50 (forgot which)... and that's when you should use SP decrease on the skill. Then just save up points for Nova and Inferno.

heres what i have done and its fast (it will be when im done) and gives a lot of damage.

First of max out dmg on fire bolt, its your most powerful spell until u get the higher end spells
3-4 cooldowns on MM cuz between 4 and 5 ull see theres not much of a difference.
I maxed out damage on MM which helps cuz its fast but its not weak, and when im spamming MM [1] its very damaging.
After that decrease cooldown 2-4 on all spells, if u tend to use one alot go ahead and max it out but id say 3 is prolly enough (decrease cooldown on battle spells ONLY not spells like dispell, lifetap etc etc.)
Next go back and add decrease sp atleast once to all of your battle spells (not including dispel, life tap, etc etc.)
This is all ive got so far, since im not so experienced with the higher end spells yet, i have no recommendations for what u should do there. Id recommend the first two steps in order and after that custoize to suit your liking. for example, decrease cooldown allows alot more dmg at the expense of alot more pots and stones, ultimately money and decrease sp leads to less money usage but less damage as well, not to mention slow. U can mix them depending on what u use most, thats what i did. Hope this helps

A lot of SP decrease consumption = save heck a lot of money (and time if you shroom a lot)

As a good DD Mage, you should have:
> 5 CD on MM for spamming
> Maybe 1 SP on MM for lower SP usage (3SP to 2SP)
> Maybe 5 CD on Fire Bolt for "somewhat" spamming (5.0sec to 3.5sec). Great chain with MM.
> 5 DMG on Magic Blast for great damage
> 5 CD on Magic Blast for "somewhat" spamming (4.0sec to 2.8sec)
> Maybe 5 SP on Magic Blast for lower SP usage
> 5 DMG on Fire Ball for great damage

Highly recommended to keep MM and Fire Bolt level 1 for low CD.

All other skills can be used on lower SP consumption. Best used on skills you used very often.

So get ONLY 3-4 POINTS CD TO MM ( 4-5 isnt much and that's 2 norm levels!!!)

Firebolt use level 1 one and make cooldown as you wish i would go 3-4 and damage too ( YOU DOTN HAVE TO GET MORE SKILL LEVELS TO THESE SKILLS YOU CAN KEEP THEM AT ONE)

Then you could get Chain cast cooldown to 3-5 rest is up to you. Like someone in this thread said: " Look enpowerment tab and look what you have to do for you'r skills" And ill say the same with extra " If you lose SP a lot make you'r biggest sp user to cost less sp and etc. MAKE UNIQUE BUILD THAT FITS TO YOU!
