Into The Woods.

I went and saw this today. I'd seen a live production in the past, but I really enjoyed the film. Kendrick was awesome. Pine was awesome. Everyone was awesome.
Anyone else see it? Want to?

Al - It all depends if you've ever been able to get into musicals? It is basically 2hrs long(Live productions normally 3hrs - some things are cut/shortened for the film).. I recommend it for sure, but if you are uncertain, I recommend reading up on it a bit. Maybe if you get the gist, you might change how you feel. It involves several Brothers Grimm tales (Cinderella, Repunzel, Red Riding Hood, etc.)

I just watched it today..

I liked about 70% of it.. The last 3rd I found really odd and it didn't quiet gel together with the first half of the movie..

But the cast was excellent, I really like the red riding good girl..

Loved it when the two prince sang Agony! Best part of the movie!

But yeah I found it a bit too long, I was quite happy for it to end when Cinderella got married LOL

What you mean a live production? As in by real ppl as oppose to animation?

^ LOL I just watched it yesterday!

And I agree with you on everything haahaha. I was also happy for it to end when Cinderella got married, but maybe because I finished my whole drink before the movie started and I really needed to pee LOL

I thought the second half of the movie was a little rush... Obviously the movie had to cut out a lot of stuff from the musical for time constraints but they got rid of some of the context too...

In the musical, the second half of the movie is all about people being unhappy with what what they got or wishing for more stuff..

Don't know if you can see this or not (it's blocked in the US):

Yes, the last 1/4 of the movie or so did drag on at points. Agony was my favorite too! I enjoyed Prince Charming and the baker's wife in the woods too, haha
I just meant the broadway production.

Oh I didn't realise this was a movie version of a longer musical...

That explains why the last bit was so choppy..

I was a little cut that Repunzel never got to meet her brother..
