I heard today that I cannot use the Zombieking sword I bought when fighting the Zombieking. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Will it not dmg him or do I just lose the chance at having another one drop?

i don't know who told you that but i was with mobrob when he decided that. it was my first time doing it with that group but they had apparently been at it all day and didn't have much luck after they got another weapon and was using it. well this time he came up with a hypothesis that if you used zk weapons against zk it lowered the chance of another one dropping. well everybody went with it (i don't have a zk weapon yet so it didn't matter for me) and we killed a zk and a weapon dropped xD

Two days ago I killed him 4 times in a full party with only one zk item (my sword) we got 3 rings two crusaders and an axe.

Last night I killed him 3 times in 3man party with three zk weapons and three zk rings. He never dropped a single item.

Not sure this is conclusive but it does lead me to think the drops are weighted by what you already have and the classes present. We had three fighers in the group that got the two crusaders.

Can anyone confirm a duo or solo kill with item drop when all characters had rings and weapons?

i went in with a full pt, no zk weapons at all
1st drop, zk xbow
2nd drop, zk mace
3rd drop, zk ring
4th drop, dust
5th drop, zk axe
6th drop, zk staff

we did change into our zk weapon right after we get it


a cleric with 25 end shuld be able to solo a zk
burn pots though

PT consist of
1 tanker
1 archer
1 mage
2 cleric

I killed him again with the following:

1 cleric w/zk hammer
1 fighter w/zk bridgesword
1 archer w/zk bow
1 wizard with gimp non zk staff

He dropped zk staff.

I am pretty convinced his drops are influenced by what class is in the party and what is needed still. I am going to test it when I hit 40 by switching to my GGKs and farming him. I am betting I get alot of cleric and fighter drops and no rings.

isn't Graveyard of the Dead a level restricted map? unless u mean farming GGKs?

Hmm I guess you might be right. I thought it was 33-43 for some reason. I guess it must be 30-40 now that I think about it. Well that makes it some pretty serious anti farming code. Kinda bummer since it is the only challenging content. Sucks to kill over and over with no drops.
