Glee

So... anybody see the pilot for Glee?

I just finished watching the pilot online.

Take a look if you haven't seen it already:

(That link probably won't work overseas.)

Is it cheesy? Yes. But I totally buy into it. I watched this show and I couldn't help smiling at.... I dunno. How fake it is? I think that's part of the charm.

Plus, these people on the show are amazing.

On a side note:
Cory Monteith (the guy who plays the football player) looks nowhere near high school age. But to be fair, he is 27, trying to be 16.

Yeah, I saw it. I'm usually not one to judge a show by its pilot, but it didn't do much for me.

They'd better do some serious fleshing out of the characters if they hope to stick around. They're all so two-dimensional and cookie-cutter at the moment. Oh, look, a sassy black girl! Stuck-up cheerleaders! Anti-intellectual jocks! An indifferent principal! A non supportive, shrill wife! An effete gay guy!

I did like the music, though. That's probably because musically, I've always been fascinated with the concept of variations on a theme, and as an extension, cover songs and different interpretations of a single song.

It was good to see Jayma Mays. She's hot in that sort of "I'll slash your tires" type way.

hmm, i kept on seeing it on myspace
what is it about?

A teacher, disillusioned with life in general, takes on the school's Glee Club/Show Choir in order to relive some of his own high school glory. The club is a shambles until the teacher stumbles upon a football player that can sing. This disturbs the social order of the school, high school drama, etc. So now they have an uphill climb to try to win the district contest, but somehow I think the plucky band of misfits will make it.

I was thinking about making a thread about this but...

...I'm scared if I did, you will find out what school I go to...but I'll give you a hint.

Glee was shot at my school. If you seen the pilot of the episode, there's this one part where they show a steel drums band playing. That's actually a class in my school, and some of my friends were in it. My friends got paid to play in a T.V. show, and was on national television.

Lots of movies/T.V. shows have been shot at my school, including Dodgeball, Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift.:ninja:

If they come back to the school, try to find a writer and yell "CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!" at him or her over and over again.

No...I quit the steel drums after middle school because I didn't like it anymore...But all my friends were in it, kinda jealous, but oh well, that's what I get.

They do record during school, but they do it, when everyone's in class, so you don't get to see it. But when I watched it, I'm all like:

"There's my auditorium!"

"There's the library!"

And etc. Pretty cool.

Can't find the writer, since they only shoot during class time, not during lunch or passing period.
