So... I just upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. I'm not sure if it's just that I wiped everything but things seem to be running a lot smoother and my screen looks somewhat brighter as well. Either way... loving it?

Yeah. My brother in Florida says there's not much of a difference between Vista and w7. He's not upgrading until he gets a new computer. He really thinks there isn't much of a difference.

I think, just maybe, him seeing my computer and using it for a bit.. may have changed his mind but he would never admit it.

Does it lag like vista or runs smoothly? I'm thinking of an upgrade from XP to 7.

Its basically a more modernized version of windows XP. There was a reason why Microsoft offered free upgrades to Windows 7 from Vista. Even they acknowledged how crappy Vista was.

When I went from XP to Windows 7 I actually noticed a performance boost this may have been because I had just gotten a new computer at the time but Windows 7 should run just as well as Windows XP.

However Windows 7 does have more program and driver incompatibilties than Windows XP does.

I love windows 7 :cutielove: Mostly because my last computer (with XP on it) was really shitty xDDD

W7 is <3. Its pretty much as stable as XP. Doesnt hog ram for useless stuff like vista...and it looks so damn good.

XP is still preferable to 7, but now that it's 2011, XP will get less and less support. 7 is still considerably better than Vista though.
