Question about a problem with trading my old weapon

i PERSONALLY made my level 40 Storm Horseman's Hammer into a +9 weapon...... i've had offers from people who want to buy it from me. i'm okay with selling it. i go to trade it with them and it says "you cannot trade an item that has been bound to you". i try to put it up in a store and it says "item cannot be traded". i've relogged in twice to see if that was the problem and it's not because i still cannot sell it.

when i am up to a level 50, what am i gonna do with this hammer.... just drop it? I THINK NOT! someone please help me ASAP!!!!!

Wow.. I sold a +9 lvl 40 mace just 3 days back just fine....

That may be the stat-less green hammer you get as an apprentice when you reached 40... And yes, it is bound to that character only.

i coulda swore i bought this hammer..... i don't have a master, i have 2 apprentices who are very low level.

oh wait! i used to have a master, but i kicked her, LOL. oops!!!

so what happens when i turn level 50... what do i do w/ this hammer???

First thing I thought was:

Are you an apprentice to someone and was that weapon one of the prizes awarded when you turned 40? If it is, then those items are bound to you and cannot be traded, sold to an NPC or stored in your storage.

I have dropped a few of the items I got as an apprentice because they were of no use to me and could not be traded or sold to an NPC. I still have a Honeying pet on one of my girls reward page because I'm afraid if I pull it off I cannot store it and I don't have room in her pocket to carry it around right now (and she has a pet she got from Remi that has better stats right now).
