"Unable to connect to remote server"
So, I'm trying to play Fiesta, obviously. Every time I open the launcher (doesn't matter from the quick start, or program files) I get that error. The launcher starts up, then it does the whole, "Checking latest version" then instead of doing patches or even attempting to patch the game, it gives the error, "Unable to connect to remote server". List of things I've tried to fix it;
1) Flushing dns via cmd promt. 2) Doing a clean uninstall of fiesta and reinstalling the game. (Several times) 3) Making sure proxy's are off in IE and set to auto. 4) Waiting (been getting the same error for 3 weeks now.) 5) Contacting CSR, they have been no help as of yet. 6) Adding fiesta to the exception files of my anti-virus, tho I am unable to find the "xtrapva.dll" file to add it to my anti-virus exceptions. 7) Downloading the game on my laptop to make sure it wasn't a connection issue through the router/modem. (It works on my laptop, connected to the same router/modem but will not work on my desktop.) 8) Having a professional clean up my computer for me, thinking it was an issue with my computer. My computer works great, but not fiesta. 9) Installing and running the manual patches, still get same error once I open launcher. 10) Trying the fiesta browser game, it works on my desktop as well, so I am ABLE to connect to the remote server, but not through the launcher its self. Here is the error: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click quite, the application will close immediately. Unable to Connect to the remote server. " If anyone knows what I need to do to fix this, I would be grateful, as nothing I've tried has worked. |
