Avoiding mara's AoE
 

I just did a Mara kq, and I managed to somehow evade mara's AoE. Mara was on the staircase and I was just a bit lower than her. When she AoEd I didn't get affected. Could someone try and confirm this and possibly post on the wiki? Thanks.

When I played Mara (which would've been a good 3 years ago), we can avoid mara's and Marlone's AOE if:

1) The tank is hitting Mara at maximum distance

2) The attackers is hitting behind Mara at maximum distance.

Basically you want to be as far away from the tank as possible to avoid the AOE.

That is if things hasn't changed in 3 years.......
