How fake does this seem?
 

While I wish we really would find undiscovered freak things like that, they always seem to be fake, or a naked or albino or mutated version of some other species.

Sadly D: You'd think there's still some things yet to be discovered. I often wonder if media release these types of things to see how truly gullible the general population is xD Never heard anything after the article's date about these creatures.

I believe that there many things yet to be discovered, just that a lot of them that do get discovered don't get as much attention simply because they don't look like creepy hellspawns

Hella. Love seeing those stories about partially decomposed carcasses washing up on beaches and news outlets are all like "HOLY ****, UNIDENTIFIED NEW CREATURE!!!" and it turns out to be a pig or dog or coyote or something like that. Quality reporting. Speaking of badass new creature discoveries...

Yeah we have a problem with our media where they don't verify the truth with other sources, believe in wikipedia and copy and paste comments from Facebook and Twitter..

Like that article about the guy who was a "top employee" who outsourced his job to someone in China... it was apparently a marketing story and they published it like it was real...

Here point to be noted is that, this kind of discovery are one time flash, you will never hear about the progress of such stories again on TV or newspaper.
