I Just Have to Share This

MacMac. my 4-yr old granddaughter is here all week since her daycare is closed for Spring Break. Today we were having Chicken Noodle soup and crackers for lunch. MacMac crumbled crackers into her soup, held her hands out and called my name. I told her to just wipe them off in her soup and before I knew it both hands were plunged into the bowl of soup!

OMG! I never thought she didn't understand to just brush the crumbs off into the soup! Made me laugh so much I almost choked on my own soup!

Prolly would have been funnier if someone had secretly filmed my face when she did it!

xD gotta be specific with kids or else they will take it literal. Reminds me of when I instruct my niece.

It was not steaming hot. I heat it up and dip her bowl out & let it cool. Otherwise she might scoop a mouthful and burn her mouth.

Yes, after I stopped laughing I thought to myself "raised 2 kids and been through two older grandkids and apparently I haven't realized I need to be specific with them". But I think it is more of just memory-lapse over time.
