Guide: Basic Manners when asking for buffs

Introduction

This is a guide to teach basic manners. While most people have manners, some players do not. Manners are important when playing online RPGs like Fiesta Online.

Understanding buffs

While it is true that clerics have the ability to buff another player and increase his or her abilities, not all clerics have such skills. Also, some mid-level clerics may have "immune", but not "endure". Clerics only have the ability to buffs others, but they are under no obligation whatsoever to buff another player. How they use this ability is at their own discretion.

Asking for buffs

While it is acceptable to ask for buffs from another player, one should observe proper manners when doing so. Do not be rude or demanding. Also, some useful words you may want to remember are "please" and "thanks"/"thank you". Another thing to note is that some players may be away, and may not respond. If that is the case, there is no need to flood the player's whispers. Also, if a cleric is capable of using immune, but not endure, it would still be polite to thank the cleric instead of just walking away and uttering rude comments (which the cleric would be able to read)

Note that some clerics will not respond to "plsss", "pliz", sentences typed in capital letters, or exclaimation marks. Also, if you have been rude to certain people, they may "blacklist" you, i.e. you will never recieve their buffs again.

Some clerics would also appreciate it if you mention their name.

Meh...the only people that really beg/demand for a buff are the people who came here from miniclip ads or runescape. Nice guide btw :D

It's a shame that some people don't know any common courtesy. =/

Good guide. Did you post similar on the officials? There are more people over there and I think for the most part FF ppl are a little more courteous, if not to the entire population of Isya then at least to other FF members.

Also, addressing the request directly at the cleric by mentioning their name will also be a good idea when asking for buff....

i tend to buff ppl that goes "Hessah can you buff me please?"

Nice. they just wouldnt understand the sufistication it takes to ask for a buff.

It's too long of a ritual for them to pay attention.

Good job btw.
