Refining Weapons

Intro:
To save link a little trouble I thought I would post a guide to refining weapons, I will also follow his system of, NT = not translated, * = need help translating, of course I'm using the Japanese site as well.

The refining of weapons is a way to make them stronger, and is done via a roulette mini-game at the local blacksmith.

The instructions go as follows according to the bright kingdom site.... (sorry if they are a little vague... but google isn't a real good translator....)

I. The Process

1. Purchase a "refine potion"† from the item merchant NPC.

2. Find the local Blacksmith and select the Refine option

3. In the refine window, place the item to be refined, the "refine potion"†, and the reward gold you would like to use.... you can place as much gold as you would like, but you can only refine one item at a time.

4. Once the process is started, a roulette will spin, when it stops one of two things might happen:
a) If the items in the roulette become a straight line with stars on it, then the refining is a success.
b) If the refining fails, your item might lose stats, or possibly even break, depending on the condition of the weapon.

If a refining fails, you may try again, as long as you have enough "refining potions".

II. Kinds of Refining*

There are apparently 3 levels of a refined item.... they go as follows...
the Ale (+1~3)
NT (+4~6)
Chiru♫ (+7~9)

As well as two kinds of Refining, which are
Blessings (possible +1)*
fortunate (possible +2)*

III. Effects of Refining*

At this time, there is no data on if refining makes a visual difference on an item or not. Of course however, stats are affected, but until the CB, we can not say exactly how or what affects
them.

*Update* According to the newbie guide on the site, they do mention weapons shining brighter with refining...... but.... the guide is hard to understand when translated.....

"Refine potion" is what I call it, in the guide it is called the "refine item", I changed it so nobody would confuse it with the actual weapon or armor being modified.

♫Chiru is the untranslated name for it, it really isn't that bad of a name, so I included it.

Yeah, the "tempering" is kind of annoying. :p

On topic, nice guide! Weapons and shields DO shine at +3 status. I've noted that shields also glow purple when they're +4. I've also seen weapons with a glowing orb revolving around it at somewhere around +5.

Nice guide, too bad its just soo easy too loose your item there, but somehow i made my weapon 3+

something to add:
no square gives a better chance of upgrading, the spinner will always strt directly opposite the stone

For totally uneededness, the three refining items, from lowest to highest are Elrue, Lix, Xir. You can make them through stone making profession which uses dusts.
