Battlegrounds for lvl20-29 ?
i read somewhere on Outspark's forums that there is a place called the *something* of Abyss, that is a PVP arena for level 20-29 players.
However, the wiki here only mentions places for lvl30 and up. So, can you tell me a bit more about the PvP maps ? What are they called ? Where are they ? What happens when you're killed by another player, or when you kill one ? Are there still monsters on the PvP maps ? Are their drops normal or better than usual ? i know it's a lot of questions, but I want greeeeens :tongue: |
The guard for the 2x - 5x battlegrounds are behind Item Merchant Nina in Elderine. What are they called? They've all got abyss in their names =w= That's all I remember LOL. There are a lot of monsters grouped together. Normally from 4x battlegrounds onwards, you find a party and you AoE monsters or you duo/trio some. I don't know what happens at 2x battlegrounds, and I solo'd 3x battlegrounds XD I found 1 green during the entire time in the battlegrounds LMAO. I've found a load of greens in regular maps. So maybe it's just my luck, but I don't look to find greens in battlegrounds. When you're killed by a player, like when being killed by a mob you lose all your buffs + scrolls but no exp. Same if you kill another. You come at the respawn point in the battlegrounds. There should be better drops than regular maps, but it depends on what you're going for. 5x battlegrounds drop a lot of dust, so that's good for stone production o-o Hope I answered a few questions! |
Yes, behind Item Merchant Nina, theres a small map called Forest Perimiter wich contains all the abysses for every 10 levels up too 59.
Its a PvP where you CAN fight other players. The drops are very frequent and it's made too make leveling easier for you. I pretty much repeated the same thing lightningmystix did...but theres my input :laugh: |

Take it lightly if you get PvPed though LOL. But not too lightly. One of my partymates was fist fighting with another guy with all his armour + weapons off, and along came someone else and 1 hit KO'd our party mate XDDD We avenged for him though LOL |
I just had a quick try, the drops are nice, a real cleric tried to attack me, but I think I killed him :)

Nope you sure don't. If you die from other players, you don't lose any xp and if you kill another player, you don't gain anything :)
But if you die from mobs, you lose xp...and if you kill mobs, you gain xp ^^ wich I'm pretty sure you knew that xD |
I figured that out already, by level 24 I'm starting to get a clue. :D
I'm not sure can solo this thing without losing money though, i have to use a lot of stones. |

The 2x BG isn't even worth it. Lawl.
In the time it takes me to kill one Abyss Phino (90 exp), I could have killed 10 Kebings/Smart Phinos (30-40 exp). Not worth it. |
Cave of Abyss = FAIL.
It looks like a deserted MCH with half the map blown to pieces... And Hyper is right, my Epith fighter is SPR/STR with a damn +8 sword, can't kill for sh*t... Drops in there ain't too good for an abyss either, I think~ |
Fiesta lacks really challenging places, There are only two different mobs in each PvP Battleground and fighting players is useless...Shame

if u want a challenge place then go Marlone Clans Hideout (enter via Burning Hill)...
they hit hard and u'll lose stones even faster! But its a challenge indeed... (The aim there is to get a party to find and kill King Marlone as he potentially can drop awesome weapons) Abyss is more for massive AOE kills for lotsa exp... but at lvl 2x.. people havent got enough skills to AOE so many that's why its not worth it... at those levels... (can never please everyone ay? ppl go "OMG why dont we hv a lvl 2x abyss!" then they implement it and we're like "OMG that's not worth it" :sigh:) |
Well, I'm sure you feel the same, when I came in I thought "Whoah, Free For All PvP battlegrounds, it's gonna be MADNESS !" Then I explored the map in ten minutes, and I thought WTF ? No boss, nothing besides two upraded mobs, Okay the drops are cool but still. And sometimes you can't speak for some reason and then ten seconds later it's working again.
I'll try to go find King Marlone. The hard part will be getting to Burning Hill |
ah if u're looking for a boss mob.. then MCH is the place for u!
getting to burning hill is part of the challenge that u may be looking for :laugh: |
The OX Field is also a challenge, last time I came in to see what it was like. There were two packs of giant stonies on one side, and many copies of Robo on the other...I ran off quite quickly

You sure there wasn't a event of some kind going on?
OX field usually doesn't have mobs. |

Maybe I should have shouted in Elderine, just to see a lvl60+ party clean the place up ! There were so many Stonies they were all inside one another, the GMs piled them up.
