Tips to stay cool?

I'm here in sunny southern California! Usually temperatures are just where I like it but lately it has been keeping in the high 90's in the day and low 80's even at 2 am.

Personally, I hate it.

So far I have fans and plan to buy a dehumidifier for my room. Also I have been making salt ice packs that last a few hours.

Any other suggestions? Creativity counts here!

Omg I hear ya, here in SoCal too.. I'm getting temp in high 90's low 100's all day....Uhh go to the beach! Stay in the pool all day. Dig a really big hole and live like a mole....Cover yourslef in mud to get protected from the sun. Dont look at the temp and pretend its cold?

Yeah it feels like we live in Arizona or something. So much heat it makes you feel heavier...Al Gore was right!

This has been making my sleeping habits irregular. I'm up til 7am(still 80-90F) then sleep until 5pm..

For sleep, during the summer when i cant sleep. Go to the living room and open all the windows and sleep on the ground.

This I did when i was having really bad insomnia during a summer long long ago.

Get a shallow tub, fill with water and lots of ice. Put it infront of the fan and sit close by. It should allow the cool air to blow...

You could always take a cold shower before sleeping. Might help.

Yeah, one problem: I can already see the electric company rubbing their hands right now.

<-- Deals with the heat with A/C so can't offer any advise. :x

But, my dad said it will go down to 80's soon-ish, and that's better than 90-100s. @_@
