Wand or staff ?
 

Personally i prefer wand..tell me what u guys prefer and why..

I think the staves look better, but the wands tend to have better stats, so I use wands.

Wands, higher critical rate and higher magic damage.

wands seem to better alot more useful but SO many people in the korean version use staves over wands and i dont know why

But seriously I wonder the same thing at KQs.. i see alot of staffs. :rolleyes:

Same level white item, wand > staff.

I found a lvl 20 rare staff higher dmg crit > my lvl 20 class wand.

Probably in korean version, they all farmed rare staffs lol instead of wands.

I must be the only person who prefers Staffs. I just like that extra bit of aim. There's no point in more damage if half your hits are misses.

Staves look really better but i'm on wands. Because:

i) More damage
ii) More crit
iii) More Bonus Damage when enchanted (ex +3 staff got +6 damage bonus. +3 wand got +7 damage bonus. At +5 or more the difference is higher)

Less aim? I never miss yellow mob in solo doing.... In KQ i use a Power scroll and never miss even red mobs.

It's true that in KQ i see many staff with extra bonus, but my friend got a wand with 5% crit too.

At moment i'm using a KQ reward staff +3 with base damage higher than a normal wand. Only cos i got it for free as reward and the damage is nice. Only 2% crit T_T

I guess so, but I hate wasting scrolls like that. I seem to die at least once every KQ anyway so that means an extra scroll.

that's why i got Scroll as product skill ^_^ to lv it i made a lot of power scroll.
But i use them only in KQ and only at the final boos. And not every KQ =p When i'm near the KQ level limit i have no need of extra aim.

As mage I die in kq a ver very very few time ..... Only if Tank dont do his work with the boss.

I've got it too, but Summoned leathers are so hard to come by.

I debated staff vs wand at level 30 and decided to stick with staff. The extra aim is too tempting. Even with aim scroll I miss too much in exp parties. Damage is a bit less, but since I can't afford buying both to test or enhance yet, it's not a big deal. Rank 1 magic missile that hits > max rank fully empowered fire bolt that misses.

I don't think staves look better. I think wands are so cute!!

I'm 3:1 int/spr with full int ring and never miss a hit with a wand.
In kq some time I miss with boss but that's a good think cos tanks don't always know how keep aggro and i dont wanna the boss take me

I think its because the staff has a quicker attack rate like.... i use wand though :P Have a wand +3 and staff + 3 so i tend to swap while i run around :P

i was talking to my guild mate (I_Wear_Prada) and he said he does more damage with a staff.

What do you mean by mastery?

Passive skills you can buy at the mage master (forgot her name) which increase the damage done by your weapon.

True that Vivi- By the time you get to l20 you ought to be at staff mastery level 2. Take the free staff from the job-change quest and you dont have to waste money buying expensive wand mastery upgrades. I run w/ a wand now, but when i hit l30 in 2 more levels i'm going back to the trusty staff. Besides, the coolness factor is so high w/ a staff. wands are for females...

Staffs look so much cooler ._. but I'll stick with the wand for now.

Staves has more mastery, but still that don't cover the Mdamage gap.
with lv 20 both ful mastery i tried lv 20 base staff and wand. Wand give me more mdamage. Maybe in the next lv the more staff mastery will make the difference.

Guys... so which would be better, wand or staff.

I chose wand when I completed the shadow clone quest but I managed to get a +5 staff doing mara's kd quest.

Comparison of the basic lvl 20 wand and staff makes the wand looks better. The slight difference in the attack rate makes no difference since our spells only depend on the cooldown times.

In the long run which would be better?

really staff deals more damage? how come? XD

i would go with both i dont care lol:p

wand for spamming skills, then bust out the staff in those desperation moments when you have no SP.
