Fighter skills

Anyone know which skills are useful at low levels? My fighter is still level 6 and I haven't bought any skills for him yet. Any high level fighters care to elaborate?

Well what do you mean by lower levels?

NavMan 06-23-2007 05:08 AM

I well I read somewhere on these forums that you shouldn't waste skill points on the skills you get at lower levels.

You use a skillpoint every time you use a scroll.

Navman, I think you are just supposed to get the lvl1 skills. Don't lvl them past that.

Zachias 06-23-2007 02:20 PM

You only use skill point when you empower your skill, but to use a skill you just buy it, and when you achive a certain level you can buy the level 2 of it.
To empower just drag the skill to that blank window and add what you want.

Dude, when i played i just bought everything. i stopped last night at lvl 8.
im also a warrior so... ionno.
I do know that the one skill that lowers defense is pretty awesome :D.
Made leveling way easier on alot of monsters.
Also, i think it would be good to save ur points so when u do get good skills l8er. u can upgrade them to god mode lol.
unlike me, who spent all his on that defense lowering attack :S.
haha

I've never played a game where you get to upgrade skills using points. Pretty cool

Ya but the hard part is deciding what to waste them on :S. once u use them u cant get them back... unless u find a super item or sometin lol.
But i think this game much resembles Flyff.
But i like this one better :D.

CheeseMaster524 06-24-2007 05:41 AM

haha yeah, choosing what to put the skill points in is a hard decision to make. Luckily, the points are transfered to all lvls of that skill (ie lvl 1 bash, lvl 2 bash). The thing i dont like is all the different kind of spells so the stacking isnt that useful in terms of saving points. But isn't there a max to how many points u can put in a skill? like there are little points that appear on that spell, and im guessing its 4 per thingy applicable (like cooldown, lvl of skill, etc)? that would prevent ppl from saving their points for the last spell or something

Deaths_Illusion 06-24-2007 05:54 AM

I was wondering the same thing...
i kinda screwed up and put 4 skill points on the first skill (the one with three sword slashes).
God, i regret that :S.
I dont even use it!
I wonder if there is a way to recover used skill points. kinda like reset them :P.

Reveille 06-24-2007 06:25 PM

I'd say get the skills when u can. they come in handy later.

haha. im working on it though...

Just spent 5 points in charge,

I love the 8 second stun now...

AndyB 06-30-2007 05:29 PM

Most of my points have gone into slice and dice(the 1 handed sword skill) and bone slicer which is highly useful at later lvl's reducing a mobs attack speed.

rokaraged 07-01-2007 08:19 PM

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

We can't use vitality!

sparky 07-04-2007 06:12 PM

hopefully we can by next beta...

btw theres no such thing as skill points in this game, their called empowered points, or if you wanna be specific, Skill-Empower Points, clears a lot of things up lol

Revy 07-04-2007 09:52 PM

I didn't see any cap of how many points you can invest into one skill, but i've noticed that the effectiveness is reducing as you increase the amount spent. Like for the stunning skill, when you're upgrading duration, the first point increases a second, the second increases only 0,5 second, the third increases for even less... So it's just pointless after a while.

The only skill i've used skillpoints (or empower points or w/e you call them, you do know what i am talking about, sparky) up for is the Demoralizing Hit (or w/e), the one which reduces monsters' damage around the character (AoE).
I'm saving the points up for the AoE damage skills and defense buffs.

Btw, AndyB told me that the first AoE dmg skill (lv42 or 43, don't remember exactly) had a 20 second cooldown, so you won't be able to level with AoE-ing, it's much more like a "just-in-case" skill, at least until you get higher AoE dmg skills and reduce their cooldown with points.

sparky 07-05-2007 03:38 AM

max empower points we can use is 20 on a skill, 5 on each section,
-Effectiveness (damage usually, demoralizing hit increases the amount of def decreased; however it doesnt increase the strength of the "SIDE EFFECT" like reduced attack speed or reduced damage, those are set)
-SP Reduce (reduces sp usage)
-Buff time increase (this increases the buffs, debuffs alloted time)
-Cool Down Time Decreases (decreases the cool down time)

Someone else said this (forgot who this was), said the first point invested is the most amount increased then after that its just a little bit increased etc etc

snakz 07-05-2007 06:33 AM

How many aoe skill does a fighter have and what lvl does he need to get them??
