Pure Str, what wep should I use?
 

I am a lvl 25+ CleverFighter with pure strength.

What weapon should I use? Sword and Shield, 2h Sword, or Axe?



Help pleasee

i say sword and shield to tank str fighter use 2h or axe

Use axe man, pure damage which will make your life easier.

And tanking? Even I can tank with a 2h XD but yeah, what would make you a good fighter is that you carry 1h and 2h weapons for any situations you'll have to tank, as Loveless said.

Additional note ~ don't bother buying 1h and shield level 30. It looks gaaaaaaaay!!! Just look for gear with END :D I'm looking for some myself... Trust me, I tanked ZK with a few scrolls and a Crusader at level 32, so yeah scrolls can even it up ^^" and clerics too... Be careful this is Epith, where 87% of the population is FAILURE...

So yeah, pure STR + axe = PWN. 2h is just for the looks, dun follow meh. :angel:

shield + sword, get them with str and/or with end so you can attack fast with good dmg.

If you can afford it, shield/sword and Axe.

If not, shield/sword is best for pure STR. :laugh:

I tank and I use an axe. I use some scrolls and I do just fine. At least I think I do.

With one-hand, you'll see the benefit of that Str stat a lot more as it has a higher attack rate. But with Axe-users, there is the weapons higher base damage and critical rate to tear through mobs.

As has always been said though, Fighters should always carry both and use according to the situation.

if u had pure end then i'd say 1h because of the exta shield block rate.
..but for pure str...actually it doesnt matter if it's 2h or axe, just go by the look i guess ;) axes have more crit, but u can always get a green 2h which may have more or same...so yeah. No1 can actually say which is better.
i'd choose by the enchancement lvl and greeniestats :P
But still 1 thing. Fighters aren't damage dealers, they're meant to tank mostly.
so don't forget taunting/mocking even if u use 2h/axe!!! ;)

Okay, I think I am going to carry both. But I am going to use Axe mostly because someone sold me their +9 axe for only 110s, and I am deff going to take advantage of that. :)

ok pure strength? Yes...Axe...no question. Axes are built for full strenght fighters (for the most part).

If your full end, for instance, sword and sheild is your best bet. Combining all that defense together makes an exellent tank. However, pure strength is made for damage and axes deal the most damage out of all the fighter weps yet, still contain enough defense to be able to manage a fight.

Yes, I am full END too and it keeps me going all night as well XD but even though, my damage with my +4 NPC axe without Vitality buff or clerics' buffs [and total STR I have from all my gears and rings, which is +25 and none from free stat] is around 590~670 ish... IDK it's just around there.

^ With that build all my gears for future use are STR DEX [refer to my latest Appraisals thread] and I use either my STR+19 END+20 Zwei or my SnS when I tank.

Though STR > END in free stat, you may not be able to get enough END from gears, but if you do, that'd be awesome. Now, you being pure STR, go for equips and axes with END, if possible. Even if the weapon be a +7, not a +9, you'll still be well off. Since tanking fighters are of great use, and there's gotta be a few situations where you're needed as tank.

With any attempts of getting good gear and weapons to perfectly match your build, you can just hope for good chances unless you live luxuriously and have no budget problems.

And with others suggesting you carry 1h and axe, just don't buy 1h skills. Saves a lot =)

just throwing this out there, if he is "pure" STR would it not be best for 1h+shield

the pure strength will surely bring up the dmg on the 1h and the shield for the defense (he should of got)
