[Outspark] Things to look forward to

Here are some of the things to look forward to with the upcoming patch.

PLEASE keep in mind that some things MAY change or may NOT be able to be implemented. Just because it is here does not mean that it is definite. Anything could go wrong with the update that might be unexpected.

Player Weddings
Monday night's patch kicks off the much-anticipated wedding feature, and Fiesta's first ever groom is none other than GM WiLDFiRe. The patch will also include a special new flower collection quest, and the top thirty players who collect the most flowers per server will receive an invitation to GM WiLDFiRe's wedding and will be featured during the bachelor and bachelorette parties on June 24 and 26. Following GM WiLDFiRe's wedding on July 1 and 2 (two servers each day), players themselves will gain access to Fiesta's wedding chapel in the sky and the wedding feature itself on July 3.

New Raid Dungeon: Helga's Tomb
If you're a fighter, not a lover, this latest update has something for you too. Legend tells of an ancient, powerful evil lurking in the tombs beneath the Forest of Slumber: The cunning warrior Helga. There's no limit to the number of players that can join the battle against Helga, so bring your high level friends and guildmates if you want a chance at the rare items Helga holds.

Quest Experience Boost
Level faster! Quest rewards have been increased, with an emphasis on levels 1-30. Remember: The EXP Boost Cards available in the Outspark Store affects quest rewards as well as monster kills.

New Battle Fields
Talk to the Battle Field Guard in Elderine and Uruga to enter the new PvP zones. Players level 20-29 and 70-79 can now join the ultimate challenge and face off against players within their own level range.

New Maps: Dark Passage I and II
Dark Passage I and Dark Passage II are located between Uruga and Concealed Prison and Moonlight Tomb and Vine Tomb, respectively. These two new "link" maps allow players to travel between other maps more quickly and offer exciting new places to hunt.

New Kingdom Quest: Lost Mini Dragon (Hardcore)
Just like the standard Lost Mini Dragon KQ, players level 46-61 can participate in this extra-difficult version of the player-favorite Kingdom Quest. With the increased challenged comes improved rewards, so prepare accordingly!

I can't wait for Helga's Tomb and the quest increase... T_T I'm way past that...

Ugh, Hardcore MD is level 41-61? T_T I was looking forward to doing it.

But still, lotsa cool stuff this patch. o=

I was looking forward to MD too... but they only upped the level by 1.

Quest experience would be nice... A little late for me, though. lol

only lvl 1~30 get the exp effected by the card?

If so that sucks...

I know I wouldn't mind another 200k+ exp from my quests.

It's in no way implied that the card only affects the 1-30 quests.

ah. I just took it as like the Emphasis on 1~30 meaning that's the only ones it's going to work for.

I was hoping the cap would be raised, but hey...the wedding feature dosent sound bad at all!

Hmmm . . . I was thinking it would be particular flowers dropped by mobs - kinda like the Shutain apple thing. I just hope the dang things drop better than the apples did coz I only ever got like 2 apples.

There will be special flowers. I do not think the mobs will drop them. There will be special flowers to harvest and these will be the ones for the quest.

Also, the wedding feature will be implemtented in this update. However, people will not be able to get married using the new feature until after WildFire's wedding. At least that is my understanding of it.

My wedding is postponed til after the patch that's for sure =]

Hello, everyone.

I'm the community coordinator at Outspark (and the one responsible for writing those feature descriptions in the OP). I wanted to pop in here and clear up any confusion stemming from this preview of tomorrow's patch.

Remember: These are NOT the full patch notes. The information in the first post includes only the major new features coming in the patch. Of course, there are additional changes besides those listed here.

I realize some people are still a little confused about exactly how the new wedding feature and the associated events will work. We have a very, very cool new wedding page coming to Outspark.com that will explain everything in greater detail. Until then, let me clarify by confirming that players will not be able to get married themselves until after WiLDFiRe's wedding on July 1 and 2.

Also, let me explain exactly how the wedding flower collection quest works. You pick up the quest (called WiLDFiRe's Wedding Woes) in Roumen. In order to complete the quest you must pick up X Isya Blossoms, which drop from "plant" resource nodes like "wood" or "flower," for example. When you turn in the quest you have the option to repeat it, and the top 30 players who complete the quest the most times on each server will receive invitations to WiLDFiRe's wedding.

Rumor has it that even those who don't win the flower collection contest may yet have a chance to experience the wedding event first-hand (more details coming soon).

If you have any additional questions feel free to ask, and I hope everyone enjoys all these new features when they hit the servers tomorrow night!

To further clarify: Yes, the EXP Boost Card affects everything - monster EXP and quest EXP - from level 1 to the levelcap. Sorry if the original description confused anyone.

Well, I'm sure most KS'ers won't get there... since the gate is in Forest of Slumber.

Actually no. It was always supposed to be on the 9th. When SKiNG first posted it, he looked at the date wrong, but had the right day. He changed it and even posted a "sorry for the mix-up" post. We then changed the title of the thread to reflect the 9th. As far as I know it was never set for the 7th or 8th.
It should happen tonight around midnight PST. Also, all of their announcements do state that times, day, and material can be changed at any time if something comes up. :sunnies:

They've said it right from the beginning that the dates could change... (although they didnt change it this time except that SKiNG made a mistake to say that it's the 6th when he meant the 9th...)

but yeah.. never take their dates too seriously... it's a proposed date..

appreciate that they're letting us know wat their plans are... if all their dates/times has to be totally accurate before they post, then we'll never know about any updates until 2 hrs before server goes down! :laugh:

they cant specify mariages to be hetrosexual can they?

i mean im a girl and one of my characters is a guy. it would be impossible to enforce, in which case why bother what sex the character is. i dont see why we couldnt have same sex marriage. help to encourage tollerance in the real world :smile:

It'll be allowed most likely.

It's just a game after all.
