that's why u never stand in Elderine.. you always shroom when u're just standing around... and stripping to noob clothing doesnt work... i found shroom works best

Anyways... something else buff related...

When I was lvl 2x or 3x or whatever...

I didn't have any buffs other than scrolls

because no one was high enough to give them.

Why is it that people say they "need" the buffs, or that they can't do the lvl 20 job change quest without it?

It drives me insane that people want everything handed to them, and they expect things to be given to them.

I did my mage's job change quest with buffs, i flew through it in flying colours! It was seriously soooooooooooooooooo much easier with buffs LOL so i guess i can understand them...

There's also that general community image.. where someone else ask for a buff, and got one, and you'd think "oh! That works! I'll ask too!" new people see someone does it and doesnt get told off, then they do it too...

generally if they say plz in some form i'll buff them.. (better to buff them and have them run away, than for them to spam "BUFF" around you)

but i get annoyed when ppl follow through with "heal"... GET IN UR DAMN SHROOM you gotta heal ur SP anyway!!!

I cant buff, but I was on my cleric and was asked to Cure someone. Sure no problem. Then I shroomed BACK up, and they stood there looking at me, going over and over, heal now, heal now, heal now. Ummm..... yeah, see me in a shroom, it is to recover the SP I just lost from curing you, get in your shroom also.

My mage gets spammed with "Heal plzplzplz" all the time lol.

But when Angel plays and that happens [rarely] she has the same reaction too XD

Just say this.

"I'm a mage. Go away."

And if they say why you are wearing a shield..

"I'm a battle-mage. *runs*"

i've gotten asked as a fighter for buffs a couple times.

shift-z ... or only give buffs in pvp, then you can test there effectiveness! :D lol j/k

shift Z doesnt mean they cant see u though...

it'll appear like you're ignoring them...

but at least u wont know and wont see so you wont feel guilty LOL

There's quite a few tales of people who under the misconception that shift+z erased everyone on the map but themselves, did and shouted things they might not have under watchful eyes :p

Rofl! Yeah I did find out that it doesn't make me invisible! I had a guildie ask me what I was doing just standing in front of avon. I asked "can you see me!?" and she said "Yeah, can't you see all the people asking for buffs!" heh

I felt kinda bad but I had been in guild chat and didn't see reg chat. hah

I don't feel bad if I'm in a hurry on the hobby just to restone. I was never the ask for a buff guy anyways. I can count on one hand how many times I've asked for a buff. But I can heal mself also. "/

Some times the lag in elderine drives me batty though. :(

OMG Eldrine is FULL of stupid spammers, have been asking me for buffs since i was like 3X. its soooo hard not to be rude back. when i do get to 47 (only 2 lvls to go now YAY) ive decided im not gonna buff morons who nag, im gonna buff the person stood next to them. HA HA HA HA

Yeah I see that often, and I realize that it must been freaken' annoying for clerics :/ I mean, I say thanks to the ones that just randomly give buffs even though it wasnt asked, but asking - I'd say begging - for buffs? That's really annoying. Even I - who can't do buffs - get annoyed. :/
