~Mind Teaser~
Well its kinda like a brain teaser :
Your walking along a path and it splits into two; one to the left, one to the right. You know that one path leads to hell and the other path leads to heaven. Theres two twin brothers inbetween the paths. One is a lier and the other will always tell the truth but you do not who is who. You can only ask one question to figure out which path leads to heaven. ~What is the question that you would ask? ( Remember that one of the brothers will lie to you, and there is only one question that can fool the lier to expose himself ) |

No, I think what horong meant was you ask "what would your brother say to the question 'which way to heaven?'" for both brothers. So the liar would say: "my brother would tell you to go down the (wrong) path. The truthful one would say: "my brother would tell you to go down the (wrong) path. So you just go down the other one xD |

the answer given is, that you ask one brother what the other brother would say :p
the truthful one would know his brother would lie and point you to hell so he'd point you to hell too. Go the opposite way. the liar would say the opposite of what his brother would say, whatever he says being a lie thus being also the way to hell. Go the opposite way. That's what was posted above. |

What lvra said xD @ Dyna You're asking both brothers o: The liar will point you to hell because the truthful person will be telling the truth, so the liar in response to that question would say the truthful person would be pointing you to hell. However, when you ask the truthful person what the liar would say, the truthful person would say the liar would point to the hell road because that's the truth. |

Another version of the same answer:
Ask Brother Honest "What would your brother say to the question 'which way to heaven?'" and Brother Honest knows his lying brother would lie and point to the path to hell so his honest response is to point to the path to hell. Now ask Brother Liar "What would your brother say to the question 'which way to heaven?'" and he knows his honest brother would truthfully point to the path to heaven but being that he is a liar he of course lies and points to the path to hell. It doesn't matter whether you know which brother is Brother Honest or which brother is Brother Liar, both will respond by pointing to the path to hell and you simply choose the other path to get to heaven. |
I'd ask..."Have you ever lied in your life?"
Naturally, the twin brother that always lie will say "yes" whereas the honest one will say "yes". Come on, who in a life doesn't lie... But judging which way to go by looking at those factors is kinda harsh...:P Nice brainteaser! |

Obviously, since one of the brothers always speaks nothing but the truth while the other is going lie, Like everyone else said; You can ask the question "Which is the way to Heaven?". Then the honest one will point to Heaven and the Liar will point to Hell, since the liar is a liar and the honest one is right, you can therefore assume that the OPPOSITE of what the liar says is true (since the question is directed at both,right?). Follow opposite path and viola! xD Question Is: DO you KNOW that the liar is a liar? Cuz that will just ruin everything lol. Otherwise.... END OF STORY! :D |

~brain teaser #3~ You have just walked into a dark two-storey house. There are three light switches on the first floor A, B and C. Only one of the switches works, and it turns on the light on the second floor. You cannot see the second floor light from the first floor and there are no windows in the building, but you do have a flashlight. You can only make one trip up the stairs, and you can only flip one switch at a time. How do you determine which of the three switches turns on the light on the second floor ? |

Oh i remember the answer..
Turn on Switch A, wait 5-10 minutes... Turn off switch A Turn on Switch B straight after, go up the stairs... If the room is dark, the we know Switch B isnt the light switch.. feel the light globe with ur hands, if its warm, Switch A is the light switch.. if its cold then Switch C is the light switch. You just said we have to determine which one is the light switch, but we don't have to arrive at the top of the stairs with the lights on right? |
