Yay! here is a picture of me on The Maverick. It's there newest rollercoaster. Best ride ever :O Sorry if its big

Yeah. It was crazy. 95 degree drop on the first drop. It bends inward. SO CRAZY!

Hessah 05-15-2008 11:55 PM

95 degree?!

how do u get around that corner?!?!

-imagine all the people at the end of the "train" suddenly thrust forward then down backwards...-

do u have pictures of the roller coaster? That drop in particular? me curious XD

*goes to find one*

Its the first drop of the coaster. Here is a picture. It bends in slightly, as you can see. Drop is 105 feet.

This one shows the inward curve more clearly.

Anything above 200ft is too much for me. I can't go that high. No way. This park also has the fastest and tallest coaster in the world ( or at least I think its the tallest, it might not be. Its still the fastest) Top Thrill Dragster launches you at 120 mph and sends you like 410 feet into the air. No way I'd ever go on that. Ride only lasts 20 seconds. You get launched, go straight up vertically, over the top and then back down the other side straight down.

Hessah 05-16-2008 12:06 AM

O_O

that sounds hectic! HAHAHAH

I was gonna ask if you went on Top Thrill Dragster or not. I might be going to cedar point this summer, and can't wait to ride it. Sad though some crapy park out west I think ripped off the design of the ride and built one 420 feet tall and like 2 mph faster (I hate them whoever it was). The last time I went to Cedar Point the millenium force was brand new. That one is awesome as hell too. OH did you ride the wicked twister? That one looks awesome too. I could talk about coasters all day.

For those who don't know cedar point, they not only have 18 or so coasters, but almost all of them were record breaking when they were built. Voted best park in the world almost every year.
You so lucky!!

My class trip is to Cedar Point! May 30th, baby<3

Ninja_Medic 05-17-2008 12:46 AM

I've been there before, but only once.

Ironically, I went to King's Island today.

In in Mason, Ohio, has the world's longest wooden roller coaster (beast) and use to be the owner of the worlds only wooden roller coaster with a loop in it, unfortunately it was take out. Y.Y

Back on the point, King's Island was recently bought by the same people who own Cedar Point! (Cedar Fair.)

We have Carowinds near me which was also purchased in the same deal with King's Island by Cedar Fair, so I hope they will start to build some of those record breaking rides at the other parks now, cause the company I work for has a picnic every year at Carowinds so we get to go for free.

secbro20 05-17-2008 11:56 PM

Hopefully they will.
