Okay, that one made me lol at work. Now I have to keep a low profile. People get suspicious when you just bust out laughing and there is no one around you and you are not on the phone.

But, on a side note, okay - last night my hubby and I were talking cars. I said that I liked the new low-set tires especially on Camaros. I think it gives them a sharper more bad-a$$ look. He likes the old-school tires, because he says they look tougher. So, here is two pictures the first is of a 2008 Camaro with the low-set tires. The second is what looks to be around a 68 model. Looking at the tires, which do you think is better? Both are sharp looking cars. *drools*

And yeah, sorry - no hot chicks sitting on top of them. Just pure sleek, sexy car.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...o20120idea.jpg

and yeah - I am hi-jacking your thread. This is now the Car thread.

Sero 05-14-2008 03:16 PM

Nice. The chick could be you Spirit. Anyways they're both muscle cars, but I'd go with the 2008 Camaro. Tell him, if you'd go for classic muscle cars,go for the classic Pontiac GTO or the classic Dodge Charger.

The old Camaro isn't bad at all, IMO I'd just go for the 2008 one, judging by the pics.

Spirit 05-14-2008 03:18 PM

Tires sweetie - tires. Not the car. The tires.

I already know if I had the money and the means what kinda car I would buy.

Sero 05-14-2008 03:19 PM

Oh sorry. Misread. Judging by the pictures again, I'd go for the classic Camaro's tires. Sweet hot rims. Tough, RAWR~

+Tequila+ 05-14-2008 03:28 PM

Personally...I'd have to agree with you on the tires. Big fat tires annoy the hell out of me.

Sero 05-14-2008 03:30 PM

LMAO yeah but when it comes to milk, gotta drink em by the dozen...

[why did I say that]

I think you are both right in that the low-profiles look sharper/more bad-a$$ and the old-schools look tougher...

I prefer sharper/bad-a$$ over tougher for cars tho...if I wanted a tough look I'd go for a truck or suv :D

edit:
also...for the record, I also prefer milk to candy...especially dollarstoremoltencandy

+Tequila+ 05-14-2008 03:58 PM

lol true...but D00000000D dollar store candy is effin win lol.

Spirit 05-14-2008 05:20 PM

This is my favorite car. But, I would have went with a different blue. Maybe something closer to the blue in the picture of the camaro.

1969 Dodge Charger Fastback.

Eru 05-14-2008 06:07 PM

that is a sweet car, but I dunno if I'd like low profile tires on that one....hmmm

Spirit 05-14-2008 06:11 PM

No, I think only the new model sports cars look good with the low tires. The older cars look better with the bigger tires.

Tombkeeper 05-14-2008 06:23 PM

Actually it depends on the rim size and rim type...ummm BBS or Enkei 22's look nice on those kind of cars.

Webster:
"usage Although widely disapproved as nonstandard and more common in the habitual speech of the less educated, ain't in senses 1 and 2 is flourishing in American English."

the key tho is that we were talking "business english" ;) whatever that means...me aint never heard no such appalling english till me started workin...uh...yo.

Ralath 05-14-2008 07:21 PM

Ain't makes me cringe.

Patches 05-14-2008 07:30 PM

Only thing is, low profile tires give a much rougher ride even though they do look bad a$$. Also depending on the condition of the roads where you live (they suck here) you can get damaged rims very easy, been there done that. But to answer your question the low profile are much better, just certain people should never have a car with them on it *points at my wife* The only problem with the whole situation is the cars you are looking at.

+Tequila+ 05-14-2008 07:48 PM

thish issh mah yadayadayada thread...we's r nawt n grammah class...okay? lol...yea lol profiles = bad for certain roads good for others. I live in Baton Rouge so the road condition is not to bad. I just kinda fear my rims being stolen at night lol.

Are you really going to go there with me? Do you want to debate cars? Come on. The Camaro is a classic. The Charger is an Oh My. I am not really that fond of the older model Mustangs or even the newer ones, with the exception of the 2006-2008 models, but meh, I prefer the older cars. Now, are you going to tell me something like, 'oh the badest car ever made was the Thunderbird or the GTO" or something like that, then lets debate this. Okay, wait. That is not fair to bring the GTO into this, because that is another one that makes me slow sown and stare when I see one coming.

But, seriously, what is your favorite Muscle car?
Oh please do not tell me the Corvette. It is so over-rated. And I can say that since I used to be obsessed with them.

Belaslav 05-14-2008 10:03 PM

The last line made me lol.

Of all cars, I would like a white Ferrarri.
