How Hillary can still win:

I'm not trying to be all political here (...), but this is funny. x3

Ralath 05-12-2008 11:21 PM

Haha.

I agree.

(And I support both candidates... so... thar.)

O-mie 05-12-2008 11:27 PM

LOL This was funny, but I really want hillary to win. =[ Obama = no experience, party man, his wife is an extreme racist, and he's just an ass in general LOL

A_Forever 05-12-2008 11:29 PM

No to Clinton. No to Obama. No to McCain.

Hyper 05-12-2008 11:38 PM

@Omie: I don't think Hillary would have been a bad president, but I think her race is pretty much over. (She can't enough nominees to win anymore, right?)

You... Want Huckabee to win?!

A_Forever 05-12-2008 11:40 PM

No.

Hyuroi 05-12-2008 11:42 PM

Lol, that was pretty funny.

I kind of wanted Obama to win, but I doubt either he or Clinton stand a chance against McCain.

Although, I don't really love any of them. D=

Ralath 05-12-2008 11:57 PM

^What do you mean by that Hyruoi?

Most people are predicting a Democratic president, based on retrospective voting.

Though it could all change in the general election...

Yosei 05-13-2008 12:14 AM

LMAO!

I still dunno who I like. I guess I don't like anyone D:

Hyuroi 05-13-2008 12:19 AM

@Ralath:

I've heard mixed opinions actually.

Anyways, from what I've seen, McCain has been the front runner for the republicans, yet on the Democratic side its been fairly close between Clinton and Obama.

But then, you've got Democrats that may not actually vote for a Democrat if the candidate they want isn't selected, because (from what I've heard) a lot of people are skeptical to vote for Hillary because "she's a woman" or wouldn't vote for Obama because "he's black".

I'm only saying this based on what I know though, since I've heard a lot of different views on this. =/

But like you said, things could go either way in the general election.

Kaidela 05-13-2008 12:27 AM

Honestly, I agree with Hyuroi. I think McCain is going to win. (I don't like any of them much, but I hate Obama the least.)

Still, since pretty much everyone hates Bush, this is the best chance we have to get a female or half-black president.

O-mie 05-13-2008 12:34 AM

I wish america would learn from its past mistakes.

Every seriously bad thing that's happened through congress and politics in this country has been under a republican president.

Every phase where we were in surplus and more at peace was under the presidency of a democrat.

HRRRM.....

Hyper 05-13-2008 12:54 AM

No way McCain is going to win... Even with Hillary as nominee, and most of Obama's supporters gone back to the Republican party, I think enough people would support fixing the economy over continuting the Iraq thing. No guarantees though... (Definitely no guarantees. Bush got a second term, didn't he?)

I still think Hillary would be a better president than people say, but Obama has more support from would-be-Relublican voters. My grandparents are pretty conservative Republicans, who live Arizona (McCain's state), and they registered Democratic for the first time ever just to vote for Obama.

The really sad thing is the reason people hate Hillary. People who hate her just because she's the wife of Bill Clinton deserve to be exiled from the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Seriously, pretty pathetic. This isn't supposed to be a "who's married to who" contest.

A_Forever 05-13-2008 12:55 AM

This thread makes me sick now =(

Ralath 05-13-2008 12:56 AM

I think Obama supporters will stay solidly in the Democratic Party. But a lot of Hilary's supporters (blue collar, older, white) might go over to McCain. =/

Yosei 05-13-2008 01:12 AM

I wonder if Hillary would base the way she ran the country off of the way her husband ran. Sure, Bill made himself look like a horn dog, but as a president... he actually wasn't that bad =/

Obama.. I'm not 100% sure about. I think he lacks the experience to be president.

McCain, uh, I don't care for him. I can't tell what kind of president he'd be.

O-mie 05-13-2008 01:32 AM

When bill was president, not only did hillary contirbute in running things, but the country was in economic surplus, and things were being handled peacefully and wisely.

But anyways, with any candidate, republican or democrat, black or white male or female young or old, even with what they say in public or speech or etc, you will never know the truth until they really are president.

SEeing as how they change most of what they speak about and not all promises (if any) are upheld. ;o

Yeah, that's true. @_@ It's why I feel like I rather not vote, but I will anyway.

Yosei 05-13-2008 03:26 AM

Only you have the power to make no difference!

I might vote. I kind of go by my friend'd dad's theory. You shouldn't complain about politics unless you voted.

Esen 05-13-2008 03:37 AM

^Yes yes.
