Blocked

Hi i accidently blocked my friend. how do i go about unblocking him?:(

Ivramire 05-08-2008 08:07 AM

Make another account with Outspark then log onto that account. Log back onto your main account and it should be cleared.

SnoWhite 05-08-2008 08:50 AM

i tried that. i made a new account with a new email and log itno it and made a character. afterwards i logged back into the original screen name and hes still blocked.

1) Don't panic XD.

2) Try simply Relogging. Exiting the game fully.

3) Try logging onto another Character and then back.

4) Log onto another server and then back

5) Log onto a separate Account, and then back to the original one. (thanks Centrix for that ^^)

6) Restart the Computer

7) Wait a day or two.

8) Or as a last resort, Reinstall the game.

Please be warned. The link above is to a file that could be considered going against the ToS of OutSpark. It required altering files.

MaxOff 05-08-2008 03:14 PM

yeah changing a config file is against the ToS. If that would be the case, the fiesta client itself would violate the ToS quite a few times.

I am not familiar with hacking/changing files and I don't want to be. But, correct me if I am wrong here. If the Fiesta Client chsnges a file, is that not Fiesta changing the file? Not an individual user going in and changing it themselves?

Can't you just ask a GM to fix it for you?

Maybe we should put a suggestion thread in the Officials asking for an Unblock feature to be added. That would make everything easier.

Well yes and no. Because its the users interaction that changes the file. In fact all that reinstalling stuff could be ignored if he just deletes that 1 file, because thats the only point in reinstalling.

My tool just takes the matter at hand, and allows a more direct approach. Not more. Also the file is just a simple list of names, its not protected or anything.

So i don't see any reason while changing the file is against the ToS. Some do it in a lengthy and inefficient way, and some do it fast and efficiently, the method behind is the same.

I agree with this suggestion.

Maybe they should put to voting option on the home page to see just how many people would like it to be a feature, just in case this accident happens again.

Ivramire 05-08-2008 03:54 PM

They already know we want an unblock feature. There's enough threads about it.

And regardless how inconsequential or pointless not deleting/altering the file is, we still don't because despite all of that it is a rule that does happen to be in the ToS.
