Bow or xBow?
Please explain your vote! :D

Although I had been using a crossbow all my Archer's life... I'd prefer the Bow if it actually had the 0.9 attack rate. I'm all about speed over power when it comes to weapons.
Other than that, bows just look better. |

Yeah, at 40 I'm gonna start using xBow... but I hate how they look D: But xBow damage can be as much as 3x as much as Bow :O |
xbows are preferred for me. I usually kite, so the maximum amount of regular shots I'd put in if all poisons hit (3) is 0, LOL. So yeah, an xbow's speed is no problem for me, since I hardly use regular shots anyways. I also love the crit rate. I've gotten used to the constant screen shake and basically a bow just doesn't give me that shake xD And I like how xbows look! xD They might not be as pretty as bows are, especially when walking, when running xbows look awesome o: But yeah, I've used both bows and xbows from level 20 --> 40, and I have an xbow and bow for lvl 50 though I probably won't get there. Though I sometimes switch, I normally stick to xbows. |
I prefer bows for looks, xbow for atk power & crit. I've only used an xbow since level 20 (just picked it at first to try it out). I do carry bows with me cause I find a lot of crappy onces :/ I only switch to them when I'm bored because of of it.
I don't know if speed matters to me, haven't used a bow seriously in awhile. Never had a problem with xbow's speed either really, but maybe cause I can take hits (I rarely kite)? Or maybe it's the xbows I'm using. *shrugs* o-o I might use a bow at level 50 (if i ever get there) or an xbow, don't know, just depends on what I can buy when I get there. o-o |
I use the x bow love the dam, but alot depends on your build. If your all str then bow is the way to go, end or dex go with the x bow.

I like the xbow. I can't really explain why except I like the fact that it does a lot more damage.
Plus, it's not really noticeable if you spam skills a lot like I do. |
bows r faster there aim is higher and they seem to have hight crit%

Yeah, I have the tendency to get better xbows than bows, so it kind of matters what you get xD I've found all my weapons except for my lvl 20 xbow, and both my lvl 3x and 4x xbows are enhanced o-o; So yeah, it's pretty obvious I would prefer them over my bows, LOL. @ Ralath Yeah, the speed of xbows are hardly noticeable if you use skills o-o; @ Ownage I'm a 25 SPR rest STR archer, but I work well with an xbow. I'm used to much more damage, so if I'm soloing harkans I might get hit for alot, but I'll get hit once every 5 monsters approximately because I can do enough damage before the monster hits me (and when it does, harkans miss a lot LOL). If you're going to be AoEing, go xbow. Higher crit, and when you're not spamming multishot/poison you're doing one of your single target skills so the bow speed doesn't even come into play. |

From level 31~49 I was an xbow user.
Now I prefer bows, faster, more dmg if it is +9ed, or if it has lotsa STR, and will give the archer less or 0% misses if that archer has nothing on DEX. Xbows are better in: Dmg and Crit rate. Other than that, Bows look cooler. |
Well, xBows will always out-DPS a bow (talking about NPC stuff here) except if you're pure STR. Look at it this way. When you enhance a bow, the dmg added is proportionate to the base dmg. BUT when you add STR, the dmg added is an absolute value, not a %. As you gain levels, slowly, the effect of STR kicks in, and bows start out-DPSing xBows. So I'll say lvls 20-40 xBows, and for the lvl 40 weapon and above, start using bows if you're pure STR or 25 SPR remaining STR.

Bow, if you are Str build or Str:END build of Archer, you fire faster at a higher dmg rate.
So yeah, i say Bow, unless you always get super crazy elite xbow |
Boss hunts, it should be pretty obvious that bow > xbow Like vasu said, NPC xbows > bows in terms of damage up until a certain amount of time, when the bow speed finally kicks in. In AoE's and short fights, I see no point in using a bow. I'm going to be spamming skills anyways, so the speed doesn't really matter. In bosses, your skills take a while to cool down, so bows will be better than xbows (NPC) when it reaches a certain time. KQ bosses are good examples of this~ o: Besides for looks, I've never really used a bow. Kinda pointless IMO, because once I finish spamming skills in my order, the mob's going to be dead anyways so I never get to fire many regular shots. |
It also depends on your playing style. If, like Enraya, you're going to be spamming skills, the xBow's your weapon, because 1. your speed won't matter, 2. your skills will have a higher base dmg.
If, like me, you want to conserve SP and rely on DPS, then the bow is your weapon. |

What Vasu said, LOL. I'm more concerned with damage than anything else xD I hate to not do enough damage, especially in a party, so I end up chowing down tons of SP stones @__@; I even take more SP stones than HP when I'm soloing, LOL. I end up buying 10 or so HP stones and 80 or so SP xD |
Of course if you're going to be relying on DPS, either kite after your DoTs land, or use an evasion scroll..or you'll be in trouble.

In my opinion X-Bow is better, I would like a better attack rate with them but in other cases they work just fine.
With my Full Str build X-Bow does show Extra Damage with it. :3 So X-Bows FTW |

But then, a bow does way less DPS than a crossbow, so if you don't have much STR in your build, a bow isn't really recomendable. Also, if you're DEX/END, using an xBow makes sense because
1. You'll have more DPS 2. The aim difference is made up for by the DEX 3. You'll have a higher crit rate, to make up for your lack of SPR. Just my opinion... Oh, and @Kanaki, go for a bow! You're pure STR, and unless you're spamming skills a lot, don't keep the xBow. |
Full STR seems to compliment bows more, but using an xbow is cool with it too. You can take advantage of the big crit rate :3 |

Depending on build bows actually can do far more damage than an Xbow. My +9 Xbow only hit slightly higher than an unenhanced bow in terms of total damage over time. But ya, bow ftw in my case. :D

ummm ur over lv 30 right, i could kinda see ur inventory thru the pic, i think i saw a phino couple ring... am i correct, its lv 10. no offense or anything, but if u can afford zk bow+8 then i think u canafford a ring better then phino.or did u enhance urself?
