BlockList tool
 

We all know that the BlockList has no unblock feature.
So what can u do if u blocked your best friend, or if u wanted to see who is blocked?
Until know u could do nothing or learn how to use an hexeditor.

To make thinks more simple i made a tool that opens "ressystem\blist.shd" and allows u to view and edit the persons u have blocked. :)

Useful no doubt, but how many people do you think have Framework?

the .net framework from microsoft is shipped with vista, and every new service pack.

It is also required by a lot of modern applications :D

just download the binary, there only 1 file in it.

if that doesn't work google ".Net Framework" and download it from microsoft.

:D hmm the tool is nice...but lol after all the things we've seen maxoff do and admit to doing can he be trusted is the issue? >.> I know him from another game *monato esprit* lol and I wouldnt trust him at all.

the only think i did in monato was hacking the client, so i knew all monster, items, quest, skills, drops recipes and god knows what else. :D

But u don't have to trust me. Just look at the source, its very short. And compile it on your own. :p

A simpler but not that secure method would be to check the binary with a antivirus :o

I don't see how those would make someone untrustworthy. The only thing that would would be if he had tried to put keyloggers on things he sends you, which isn't the case. Plain helpful.

I never needed such thing... I can just open the .shd file with Notepad++ and see all the names...

If you bring your PC to their office: yes.

The blocklist is stored on your PC, not on the server

So, by you making this comment, you are saying that they can and are allowed to go into that file and delete the names on the blocklist?

I am asking to make sure. We do not encourage breaking ToS. But, the mods have actually been discussing this thread and the link and whether changing those files is allowed or not. So, your clarification or opinion would be welcome.

To be perfectly honest, and no disrespect intended toward Centrix or any other CL's, but that question should be directed toward one of the GM's or CSR rather than a CL.

Even though notepad++ is a fantastic editor(im using it myself), removing a name from the list using it, may result in loosing parts or the whole block list. Unless the null values are also removed until the next entry.

Doesn't this tool just delete the blist.shd? and outspark is against tampering with files...?

it allows u to remove and add names from/to the block list, and if u remove all names it empties the block list, it doesn't delete the file.

Also all changes are only written back at the end, and a dialog asks if the changes should be saved or not.

Yeah I have a huge problem with that especially when I try and block spammers and I accidentally block one of my friends. >.< Gah, I hate it,

thats exactly the situation i was in.

So i open VS and 15mins later the tool was done :D. Hope it can help u too
