I guess we know how Game Leaders...Community Leaders but in-game...I just saw this and it seems Outspark is adding more people to their in-game team.

I foresee people thinking they're better than everyone because they have that tag.

But I saw something on Teva yesterday that made me, "Que?"

I saw [GM]Frank make an announcement saying "Congratulations for slaying the dragon!"

Just regular players or can they change their lvl at will? Maybe they can be anywhere between 1 and 79...if not 150 like the GMs.

No I dont think they can change their levels. Becasue I saw alot of screenies of them getting pwned by high levels. It's kindda like the RuneScape Mods probably...

I wonder if they're outspark staff or CLs in disguise o.o

We dont have alot of information yet on them. But I dont think their outspark staff or else why would they be so weak Outspark would probably make their staff higher level. Nah I dont think that the CL's are the GL's, well I hope not that would give them too much power...

Not necessarily. I remember when I first saw SnakeEyes, he was only level 59, he said he didn't have time to make his char higher yet.

i wont have to wait long until the first reports come in, of a gl that jailed/banned a person he didn't liked. Or when he gives his friends items, etc.

That is the worst decission Outspark has ever made!

I still think a player-nomination system is better than any Player-moderator.


Like there's a bot KSing people in CP and it's very clearly a bot. Have something like a 'designate bot' function/button where people in the map get an announcement that xxx player was deemed a bot and it's co-ordinates. If enough in the people in the map also think it's a bot, they vote on it and the character is sent to jail.

at 1st i was like "OH NOES wat i didnt want has come to Fiesta!"

but when i thought again, maybe it means we wont have anymore spam bots in town. I've been getting so many whispers by bots its annoying me!

(Although, Serric said CL have the ability to Jail people too, but there's still bots around... hmmm)

Looks like people finds that a [GL] tags also means "kill me" in PVP zone.. they're gonna have a hard time in Battlefield / Battlezone...

Yes, there are the free CS items, the exclusive things that they can use for free that the public can't use, and when they can it will be for a HUGE price, but I really would have done my best to get rid of bots and/or trainers!

And I've never even heard of this "Nei" character... You'd think that a GL would need at least some posts on the forum?

In exchange for a cool dragon to fly in.... you're gonna be hammered by a lot of players that you've never met and have done nothing to....

You've gotta have lotsa patience i think....

....from what I just read, I think Serric is afraid of people finding something out. He got awfully huffy over very little just there.

Maybe the GL's are actually CL's, unlike what was said, and that there was an effort to hide/cover-up the truth?

...You would THINK that there would be some sort of information regarding how someone aspiring to be a GL or an announcement of their introduction to the game would be here.

Until I see an official announcement from SnakeEyes/Dakkon/SKiNG otherwise, I'm not going to pass judgement on whether I think "Nei/Nel" or whomever that person's name was. I do believe it is NOT a GM, but I also cannot believe, at the moment, that the person is NOT a pre-existing moderator.

Foolish move.

Outspark's selection Community Leaders was bad enough; reading some of their posts, they are often woefully incompetent in their assessment of Fiesta. The selection appears to be solely on activity: the more active, the more likely you acquire status. I am willing to wager that at least one obtained rank through obsequiousness, considering his or her behavior on another forum unaffiliated with this game and company.

As for giving free cash items to these users, along with server-wide shout permissions, I truly question the tact of Outspark. While paying customers pay—myself included—to enjoy a bonus feature of the game, many issues remain prominent, many of the potent skills remain unreleased. Oh yes, let's make—and I quote a high ranking official here—more money rather than fix things! I am well aware of the "fixes" that have surfaced, at any rate. Certain members of this forum could probably fix the errors faster than the officials. Interestingly enough, quests that have broken from the first day of OB release remain broken, but they are able to repair the Earth Day HP Potion rather quickly. Coincidence? I think not.

This applies to the selection of GL's. I strongly doubt that these users were appointed based on experience. Activity is understandable, obsequiousness is amusing if it is a guideline to worming into favor.

Conclusion: Outspark staff doesn't appear to really think things through. There is no problem with granting certain "respected" individuals power to moderate forums, but I wonder how cash items in-game help moderate the forums. To quote directly what the Community Leader's role is:

I only remember GameHelper, aka centrix, running around in uru with lv80 equip.

I dont think there is any idea worse then giving people unofficially associated with Outspark power ingame. Like MaxOff say it'll only be a matter of weeks *months at the most* before someone is banned because the GL didn'*t like that person. I've already had one of the CL's*lordalden* act a moron with me on another game*Holic* and after I said was gonna air his dirty laundry out on FF he decided to *introduce* himself to the community. If you are gonna appoint certain people to positions like that lol at least give the players the chance to say yes or no.

I think they said they PMed SnakeEyes and confirmed it.

Apparently these GLs are there to help GMs with events and things like that, so maybe that's why they have the ability tosummon monsters...

but hey isnt that a bit unfair that they can summon a heap of mobs and then solo it themselves or something?! surely they shouldnt be allowed to summon watever they want whenever they want...?

So all of a sudden these normal players.... cannot plan the normal game anymore O_O

It's all probably just a matter of time before something goes wrong. :3 I like this game but it will be unfortunate.

yeah i can see that... i think we should be more concerned about how GM deals with things when it goes wrong... (will they stand on the GL side and stuff up the way the rest of us play? Or will they act properly and compensate on watever gone wrong...)

I don't have an opinion on the individuals, but I do feel kind of uncomfortable with them giving such powers to players. Not saying they will abuse their powers. But there may be a bad apple down the line.

I hope they chose the right people.

If they aren't employees, and have almost any power a GM has except changing their levels (they might even be able to do this:eek:), then Outspark is looking for trouble.

QTF. I don't really think Outspark thinks ahead when they make situations. They things they do regarding already confirms what most people already know that they know zilch about running a mmo. You don't give random people guns and put them in a crowd of people and tell them not to use it unless its for good. There will always be that one that decides to get even with someone or just wants to see how it feels. Giving ordinary players ban powers and the ability to spawn mobs is just asking for trouble lol. Remember Steam? And his fondness of spawning mini-dragons on player shops. This situation reminds me of it ^.^.

But if they start spawning mobs in town, killing shops and it's NOT an official event, then i'd be pissed.

But surely, they've signed an agreement that wont allow them to do that.................. surely.......... (cant even convince myself)
