So I'm in business tech right now, and we have to choose a debate topic and make a slide show arguing your opinion about it, and later in the month we will present them. I have about 1 week to get a topic.

I've thought of a few topics...but people have already done them D:

Why don't you go to a news site, look at all the big topics, and see if one catches your eye?

i've tried, but it gives me the same thing...in a way.

Big news topics suck. Try something thought provoking that disturbs someones inner calm. Something slightly tabboo, but not enough to get disqualified. Something somewhat out of left field.

You could debate over the exsistence of the Id. Thats a good one. Control issues over the ego and super ego and how that applies to the oil crisis. I dunno im just kinda firing off random stuff here.

Or you could always do the ever popular subject:

"If someone AFK's in the road and a trumpy plows him, does he make a sound?"

The threat of Apophis?

Meaning of life?

Stem Cell Research. This is the topic I chose to debate a while back. Not, sure if I could find my research on it, but if you like the topic, I could try. I received a 250/250 on it.

Oh ya, I remember I did research on that one! You can debate whether stem cells are harmful, because some studies prove that they are the cause of cancers, or good, cause they give birth to new cells. Plus the ethical and religious issues are also good to discuss.

hmm, stem cell research? i might look into that. I think it might be a bit too advanced for my taste xD thank you though ^^

What about rasicium? is that a good one? I'm not sure what I would be debating about though xD =P

Racism... yeah would be hard to debate... coz it's pretty much set out as "wrong" and it'll be hard to find a convincing "right" side to it...

I like that Oil / Mining debate! (maybe coz my work has a slight connection with things like that)

I think ppl usually associate mining with "bad" stuff, like Pollution, digging holes, waste management etc..

but there can be "good" stuff that isnt too obvious, apart from the obtain resources for yada yada yada..... Mining plants also provides job to a remote / run down community, they have a support department where they fund community developments.... hence enriching (if that's a word) a poor area....
