Yeap it is! Just that chances are really slim. Triumph made a post about enhancing weapons without eyes as well. I think he said he did +9 weapons, but he had to break a lot of weapons (can't find the post @-@).

it is.. but before u get a +8, +9 u'll probably have to break 70 weapons before you get one...

It is theoretical possible, yes. But it is not practicaly applicable, no.

if u want to know your chance: ask enchanter how many times they usually fail using perfets, until the weapon becomes +9. Now square that value. And u have your odds.

the value should be not equal the real odds(fail <> break), but it should give u a good overview.

I do think that enhancing rate was lowered..

But yes, a few people got +9 before Cash Shopcame out so it's entirely possible.

he said he went through 270 something before he got +9 lvl 30 weapon. Might have been 300.

Theoretically and actually possible. However, it's highly probable that you will fail. Consequently, it is not worth the investment.

A majority of breaks/downgrades for level 1 weapons occur starting from the process of attempting +7 from +6. From ground state to +6, your chances for success are relatively high.

I got +8 after only 5 wep breaks... but then broke my +8 going to +9 first try.

Not entirely true for me, cause when I was level 20, I did my first enhancing ever on a level 15 bow. Got it to +8 quickly, with only 2 fails and 1 degrading. Didn't have to break anything ever, so I got it to +8 for the first time, without having to break anything ever before that. So it is only +9 that you'll have to go through a lot of breakage before it happens.

Nah, I was just talkin' bout the +8 thing. Your figure may apply to +9-ing.

yeah i think i generalised the two without knowing that there's such a big difference...

though it took me forever to get a lvl 8 weapoon to +7, i dont think i've ever gotten to +8.... (and i've enhanced a few.. maybe 20-30?)
