*Pay no attention to the black background and the size i am still working on it ^.^*

hmmm so im doin a photo-manip style siggy and am wondering if someone wouldnt mind critiquein it for me while i do it :D. Any comments/opinions would be really appreciated. If some people or someone can give me a opinion on the eyes and the butterflies it would really help me out.

*The original so you have a idea of what I have done to it.*

somehow the butterfly on the cheek doesnt look like its curving with the face......?

but i dont hv artistic eyes...

Loveless 04-17-2008 05:29 AM

First off, she's really purdy! Lol

Something that sort of bugs me is how she sort of seems like a zombie with the faded colours. >_< I guess it's cause of the original.

And her right eye (your left), the blue is a little off the iris so it's covering a bit of her eyelid too.

The tip of the butterflies wing is touching her lips and gives the impression of 'the Joker' with the slit mouth thing.

Yea she is o.0 Misa Campo ftw. I had faded her a bit because I wanted the butterflies to stand out more but if it looks bad then its something I can always change. Thank you for the butterfly part something seemed off and when i resized it everything seemed to fit better. ^.^

I like the colors in the original better. She looks pale in the 2nd one.

Loveless 04-17-2008 05:57 AM

I'm sure you can utilize her purdy glow and still have the butterfly standout. :3 But seriously her facial structure is super nice... :O

Off-topic: My dog is doing her usual 'butt drag race'. xD

Still too pale? I also did somemore work on the eyes and resized the butterfly. As for the colors I dont think the original colors would work well with the eyes however but I'm trying it.

I think her right eye needs a little fixing. Maybe tone down the brightness a little. I've never done photo manip before, so don't take my word for it. :/

Yosei 04-17-2008 06:55 AM

The eyes look too shopped lol.

I'm guessing you're trying to turn her eyes green?

So much better...I like this one 50 time better. She dosent look dead anymore ^_^

For the 2nd edit pic:

Her right eye needs to be adjusted, it looks like she lost pupils. Another thing that makes it look weird is the lining on the top of the right eye. It doesn't seem to be smoothly lined so it looks like the eyeball is popping out.

Maybe you can also try lightly shade her right face (our left) so there's a bit more of a contrast.

I think the outlines of her eyes are a little bit too dark too.

That's just what I reckon, I haven't really tried photo manips either so not sure how hard it is. xD

*shudders*

Okay now she creeps me out. Try blue for eyes and make it look like water.

Hessah 04-17-2008 12:12 PM

the pink looked a lot better than the green

i think the problem with the green was her right eye ball looked like it popped out... and the pink one it sits back into her eye LOL

both colour looks good! but i think the pink one looks a lil bit more "natural"

Blaaaaaaaah 04-17-2008 12:31 PM

Pink works heaps better.

Spirit 04-17-2008 01:15 PM

I have to agree with everything that everyone has said so far. THe third is the best so far, even with the pinkish/purplish eyes. But, if you are not going for natural eye-color then that doesn't matter. The butterflies look a lot better after you adjusted them and so does her color. However, what is it that youare wanting to draw people's eyes to on their first look? Because you had said that you faded her coloring to bring the butterflies out, but with you adjusting her eye color so drastically, that is the first thing my eyes have been drawn to and the butterflies kinda get lost.

Lady-Loki 04-17-2008 01:25 PM

Is it possible to reduce the size of the butterfly outline on the larger butterfly? The outline is wide and makes it look like the shadow that gives the 3-D effect.

And I like the green eye color better if you could just get the green to fit in the right eye as well as the pink fits.

Yosei 04-17-2008 02:52 PM

The pink ones look better, but perhaps a different color?
